A unique long promenade, divides the bay into two places, Ć tikovica - Zaton Mali and Zaton Veliki (Small and Big Zaton). Veliki Zaton has a post office, bank, shops, bars and restaurants.

What you will not find in Zaton are large hotels and crowds, so if you are looking for a place to relax, you will certainly be delighted with Zaton.

The word 'zaton' actually means a bay or a cove so it is well protected from winds coming come from the open sea. Zaton bay frames the villas of Dubrovnik aristocrats, old stone houses and embroideries for boats.

The end of path next to the sea marks the entrance to a small pine tree forest. Walking through the forest path leads to many hidden places with amazing landscape. The play of nature gets more interesting when you continue walking deeper into the forest. The sea in this area is clean as in most of Adriatic.

Great stay

The apartment is spacious and fully equipped with all you need. The property has air conditioning in all rooms including the living room, which is super convenient in the hot days of summer. We had a great stay.

Lovely modern and clean apartment with lovely terrace with sea-view

The apartment is very modern and clean with a fantastic terrace with sea-view. Lovely kitchen with everything you need and comfortable beds with shutters. AC was essential in the July heat. Lidia is very helpful and provided us with lots of advice regarding what to do in the area. I highly recommend if you intend to rent a car as we found the bus services a little unreliable and there is not not much around the apartment except for a supermarket. Dubrovnik is close by and very busy so it suited us to be in a much quieter area even if that meant having to drive all the time, even to go to the beach.

Nice appartment

Beautiful modern and clean appartment. Missing a few things to make it perfect! No welcome pack with general instructions on nearby places to eat or visit. A guest book would be handy to hear about others experiences.. I found it difficult at first to work the oven/grill as there was no toaster. Views from the balcony were amazing but it was sheltered from the sun, (if you like to sunbathe) for a lot of the day. We visited in Sept. Zaton bay is a beautiful location. Be ready for a nice 20min walk to nearest good restaurants and a good hike up the hill on your return, as the appartment is at the top of a fairly steep hill. We visited Dubrovnik a couple of times by Uber which is only 15 mins drive. Thank you Lidia for allowing our friends to stay for one night when they visited.

We have had an amazing holiday and found the apartment so clean and comfortable with all amenities.

After a lovely holiday, we are sad to be leaving such a beautiful place. We leave with some amazing memories of our time here though. I highly recommend staying at this very clean and comfortable apartment with all it’s amenities making it a home from home experience. If we return to this area in the future, I hope we are able to stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your apartment this summer.
