The Pinewood Resorts Hotel was very uncomfortable. The property is dated with no air conditioning units installed. We moved to the property after we finished our camping at the Dixie forest. The Pinewood room was awfully hot (felt like temp was 82 degrees). There were insects flying inside and bugs crawling on the walls. Being in a tent is way better than staying in this place. When we checked out, a staff member asked how the stay was. When we responded awfully hot, the staff member said, "yeah... the rooms here are really hot." (Sounded like they always know how bad it is.) I will not recommend this property.

Pinewoods is set in the woods on a beautiful mountain. I loved waking up in the woods, with tall pine trees around me. I loved that they had a swimming pool and hot and I loved that the property was clean. The owner spoke to us a couple times in passing and was very interested in our comfort and satisfaction.

Very beautiful location and cozy cabin accommodation. Was disappointed that restaurant on site was not open the night we visited but had a very nice meal just down the road

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything.
Location: Location was very remote. Nothing to do nearby.
Room very small. Rust around shower floor. Double doors removed from closet. Flat pillows. Old mattress. Totally outdated. Game room had pool table w/ torn felt, no tips on pool cues, balls dropped into pocket fell on floor. Nothing like pictures on web site. Can't believe it was AAA rated. Staff, however was very nice.

Out of the way!

Cons: The rooms need to be cleaner and restaurant service needs a complete overhaul.
Location: It was out of the way. We saw nothing to do.
We used travelocity to find a place to stay between Bryce and Zion. This place came up and the price was decent so we booked it. Our arrival time was after they closed the business office, but they had our keys for us in an envelope inside the front lobby. That was fine. Our room was small and the furnishings were old and worn. It was not a comfortable night's sleep. The worst part of the experience though was when we had our breakfast there. There were only a few people in the restaurant so we thought this should be quick. It was not. The waitress said it would take a while if we wanted omelets because they didn't have the eggs cracked for them, but if we really wanted them, she supposed she could help crack the eggs. (REally!!!) How hard is it to crack eggs for an omelet. So we didn't order omelets. But we did sit there an hour waiting for our breakfast and then when we did get it, it was not even hot. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I'm disappointed that it came up on Travelocity.
