We had a wonderful stay at this relaxing retreat! We loved the lake view and all the amenities (paddle boards, comic book collection, sauna, gas grill, spacious kitchen, and large farm table for gathering to playing cards). Being a group that loves to cook together in the kitchen, the selection of kettles was a tad limited and a few 3 - 4 qt pots would be nice :). We would definitely recommend this place to others who might enjoy a quite scenic lake stay in Northern MN.

Love this sweet cabin!
Our family of six consisting of 2 adults and four kids ages 16,14,12 and 8 had a wonderful time! LOVE the bunk house for the kids. The calm lake was a great place for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. The kids found the vintage comic books and thought they were fantastic. We had fun playing board games cooking dinner together. Love this sweet cabin!

Great cabin on a lake
We had a great time at the cabin! The lake access was fun, and we utilized the SUP and tubes for an afternoon of fun. The fire pit was well stocked with wood to burn and a grill available for cooking. Cell service was non-existent for Verizon users, but AT&T had some coverage. The hotspot helped with receiving phone calls and text messages, but not loading web content. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of blankets. The three beds in the bunkhouse were on the smaller side of queen size, but it worked very well for us to have two spaces for those who wanted to go to bed earlier and the night owls. Overall highly recommend, was a peaceful cabin in the woods with easy access to Duluth and the north shore!

Property was exactly as advertised. The incredible firewood availability was wonderful. Our ten year old granddaughter couldn’t get enough fishing and paddle boarding. Great family time.

A nice property with promise, but rough around the edges
This is a cool location on a very nice lake. The central area of the main home is a comfortable place to hang out-- and we appreciated the fireplace and the candles when the power went out on our first night. We did not get to use the sauna but it looked very nice. It's nice to have two houses with a large group, especially because the second house had its own water heater. We really enjoyed the lake, it's wonderful to have so many watercraft available (one kayak is missing a paddle, btw). There's a general unfinished feeling about second house. Exposed plywood, nails sticking out of the ceiling, unfinished wood steps inside the house. The kitchen in the main house could use a little attention. First, there are no glass glasses. I realize that there are some people that would not be bothered by this, but we resorted to drinking wine from ceramic mugs, cuz who wants to drink a nice glass of wine from a plastic cup? There were fat black ants everywhere, and they got into some of our food and ruined it. The internet is a hotspot provided from a cell phone left on in the kitchen, and it was hard to get a website to load. Finally, I'd really like to emphasize the number of steps that you have to deal with in getting down to the lake and even getting into the property. Both of the houses do not have proper/properly spaced steps to get onto their front decks. This is hard to manage for older people or anyone who has any impediment to walking easily.
