About this property

The Elderberry Cabin Bunkie

The Elderberry cabin bunkie is unique in its charm. It has a simple yet welcoming interior and comfortable day bed that turns into a king size bed for a restful night's sleep.
Relax & rewild your soul as you hunker in to read a good book, watch the stars from your deck as the frogs serenade you, or mingle at the fire pit.
The Elderberry cabin bunkie is nestled within our 6 acre property amongst Dogwoods, Maples, and wildflowers. There is a small folding table in the cabin where you can play board games or enjoy your meals. Grab a blanket from the handcrafted blanket ladder and head outside to relax on the Adirondack chairs and listen to the river down below. The traditional oil lantern inside the cabin will give your evening a natural warm glow.
You will have access to a fire pit and the shared outdoor kitchen area is stocked with everything you need. The bathhouse bunkie is complete with a composting toilet and private hot water shower.
Rewild yourself in nature by exploring the region's rivers, lakes, trails, vineyards, cideries, and farmers markets. Enjoy a local cider, wine, or craft beer on your deck after a day of adventuring in the Cowichan Valley. Your stay will leave you feeling recharged, relaxed, and refreshed. We can assure you that the land and the nature that surrounds it will help put your body and mind at ease.
We are as low impact on the environment as possible, collecting rain water for our outdoor kitchen and bathhouse and using composting toilets. Recycling and composting are encouraged.
Linens, blankets and towels are provided. The bathhouse is stocked with organic environmentally friendly shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A lockable cooler is provided next to each cabin, but bring ice. The Glenora Corner store just up the road sells ice and some amazing treats!

Sweet Little Getaway

We loved staying here! It was a relaxing and comfortable little getaway! The animals wandering around were so fun too! Lots of great little places in the area to explore (i.e., Cowichan River, Zanatta Winery, Chemainus River Park). Definitely would recommend!
