I booked the Leviathan Hotel because of its historic value and we enjoyed looking around the hotel. We enjoyed eating in the hotel, and it was very close to the railroad station which we walked around in the evening.

Worst hotel in New Zeland, unclean bathroom and unusable toilet paper dispenser and, shower with only hot water and the rudest staff at the reception.

They offer house keeping which we had to continue to ask for towels and to vacum and even tiolet paper,i did get a discounted deal but due to the funeral we were there for i had book a extra 2 nights,which cost almost the same as the 3 night.due to disablities we were asured close to elivator,which it wasnt,and the disabled shower chair was completly broken.on a positive note,a beautiful building,lovely court yard,and the desk staff were lovely.the cleaners where very slack.it was a shame.

I was on a budget and needed somewhere to sleep for the night. This place has an olde world charm and frankly, I was surprised. So close to the central city, free parking and down to earth service. If your looking for marble basins and a bedit look elsewhere. This place suited me well. I will definitely stay here again.

Awake because of loud banging as well as traffic close by eg large noisy lorry starting at 4am. Eventually found banging was caused by ill-fitting window Room cramped

We had a quiet room overlooking the courtyard, with its beautiful flowering trees. The staff were all so friendly and helpful; we felt very welcome. Will definitely stay again.

It is a beautiful building and the room I was in was perfect. Looking out of our window into the courtyard makes it look like the place is run down. I know the upkeep is good. Just difficult to understand why it looks this way.
