Tucked into the heart of the Colorado Rockies, Iron Horse Hideaway at Tamarron Resort (Lodge #206) blends cozy mountain charm with modern comforts—your perfect alpine escape. This stylish loft condo offers inviting accommodations for up to four guests, featuring a plush king bed in the sleeping loft and a queen Murphy bed on the main level. The Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course is a private golf course located at Tamarron Resort. As a guest staying at Tamarron, you'll have the privilege of playing the course at the Tamarron rate — a great perk of your stay! Details to book your tee time will be provided in your rental instructions.

After a day of hiking trails or carving down snowy slopes, unwind by the warm glow of the electric fireplace. The thoughtfully updated kitchen is nearly full-sized and includes a spacious refrigerator, dual stovetop burners, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, and coffee maker—everything you need for easy home-cooked meals.

The full bathroom features contemporary finishes and a tub/shower combo for a relaxing soak or quick refresh. Stay connected with Wi-Fi speeds of approximately 100+ Mbps and enjoy access to resort amenities including a heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, and scenic golf course.

Whether you’re chasing powder, golden aspens, or peaceful mountain mornings, Iron Horse Hideaway is your basecamp for Colorado adventure and comfort.

WHERE YOU'LL SLEEP:

ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE INCLUDE: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, golf at private course at the Tamarron rate, tennis, pickleball, playground, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge. There is a $20 per person ski shuttle to purgatory on weekends - tickets must be purchased in advance and the pick-up location is in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

This place is amazing! Very well appointed with everything you need. We’ve been staying in Tamarron for years but had never stayed in the lodge. The bar/restaurant downstairs and the hot tub after long day of skiing was perfect! The only thing I would recommend is maybe some instructions for the electric stove top. We could not get it turn on, but we just used the microwave, so not a big deal. I would definitely recommend this unit!

We enjoyed our stay. We did a roadtrip through southwestern Colorado and was a good place to stay in the middle of many beautiful locations to explore. The ChargePoint EV charger was an added bonus to stay charged throughout our stay.

The views were absolutely incredible. The restaurants had excellent service and food. The service from VRC was great - but I truly didn't need anything once I checked in. The condo was perfect! I would 100% recommend this property to family and friends. I can't wait to return. Missing my cozy condo already!

It's a fantastic spot to enjoy all that the Colorado Rockies have to offer! If you are looking for an alternative stay for the Connie Mack WS, it’s a short 1hr and 15min drive, but offers way more to do in the down time. Highly recommend!!!
