Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this property. Everything is as stated and better. We had a completely relaxing stay and havenât slept that well in years. VERY comfortable mattress.
Cozy with a beautiful backyard and screened porch. Comfortable beds. Bring your own toiletries! Enjoyed walking to the beach, didnât know how to access but the host responded very quickly and let us know the private paths are for our use as part of the neighborhood access.
We were unable to stay due to unforseen circumstances. Jan was understandable and wonderful in her communications. Thank you Jan! We hope we can stay another time!
Came for a short weekend getway with the family; the cabin is very cozy and met our needs. Located between Tawas and Oscoda, there was plenty to do during the day and wind down with a fire out back at night. I now wish we booked one more day, the kids loved it and did not want to leave!
This warm and inviting cottage was a perfect stop for us on our fall color tour. They had everything you need and it is cozy and very clean. A wonderful spot!
My wife and I spent 2 nights at the cottage for our 28th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful up north cabin! I wish our stay was longer! Communication with the host Jan was wonderful. The cabin really has everything you need. The deck with party lights and the fire pit were fantastic. The cabin is just north of town and very close to Tawas Point Light House. We will hopefully be able to stay here when we vacation in the area in the future.
Very quite and cozy in a beautiful neighborhood. Dish towels and a couple of extra bath towels would have been nice but that did not detract from our experience.
Reminded me of my grandparents cabin from the olden days only with modern updates. Plenty of room for the three of us and my grandchildren loved the idea of being in a cabin in the woods!
Updated log cabin in beautiful area -but there were a couple issues of concern
This is an updated, handsome vintage log cabin in a beautiful area. It is a short walk to Lake Huron. We enjoyed the quiet setting, the rich wood interior, good wifi, and the screened in back porch. We were disappointed, though, that when it was time for bed, we discovered that our sheets were full of sand and tiny bits of dirt and debris. Apparently the housekeeping service forgot to change the linens in that bed. So we had to strip both beds and trade sheets at midnight because we wanted to use the larger bedroom. There was no reserve stock of clean sheets. Other minor annoyances were the absence of washcloths, dishcloths, facial tissues, only one hand towel, and no dish towels, although it is expected that guests wash and dry all dishes and put them away in the cupboards. We contacted the property manager who apologized and sent over housekeeping with some linens a few hours later. Given the stress of finding dirty sheets, if I had been property manager I would have also offered a courtesy rebate of 10% to reflect the degree of stress involved with the housekeeper situation and to keep my customer happy. This has not happened to date.
