Place was comfy and concenient location. Only thing i wasnt thrilled of is the lack of comfyness from the pillows. Very thin, and wasnt ideal sleeping conditions. Meanwhile the bed was comfy.

For a motel this place is not bad. The room is clean and the two beds were fine. My only issue was that the air conditioner is controlled from the front office. The room last Saturday was very hot. I called and they turned on the air conditioner for a little bit and then turned it back off. It was hard to sleep because the room was son hot all night. If you need the convenience of controlling room temperature this place is not it.

Pleasantly surprised. Room and bathroom were extremely clean. Rooms do not have their own AC units but the owner happily tuned the temp down and provided me with a fan to use (I like the rooms cold) I would definitely stay here again

If you are looking for pricey five-star hotel service, this place is not for you; but if you are looking for a reasonably-priced, safe, quiet, clean place to sleep and take a shower this place will suit you just fine. Small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in room. Proprietors are friendly and helpful. Easy access to Hwy 53. Horizons Bar and Grill & Event Center just across the road has good food and drink.

I travel to this area regularly for work. I have stayed at many of the main brand hotels. NONE of them come close to the quality and cleanliness of this wonderful, "cottage." The rooms look nothing like a motel room, they feel like a cozy cottage in the country. They are immaculate. The staff is kind and accommodating. They were willing to work with my overnight schedule. I booked every stay there after my first night's stay!

It was advertised that there was coffee and snacks in the morning, however there was only enough coffee in the room for one person and no snacks. The owner charged me about $9 more than what I booked on Expedia. The refrigerator was unplugged when we got there. The thermostat is controlled by the owner who told us if it was not cold enough in the room to let her know. When I talked with her about it she said she can’t turn it down. She gave us a small fan but then came in the room while we were gone and turned the fan off. The shower floor felt like it was going to cave in. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.

The room was relatively clean though there was no AC or heater in the room to control comfort level. The bed was hard and made it difficult to sleep. The wifi required a password and They didn't give it to me upon check in. it was supposed to be a handicapped accessible room and it was not. The lip of the door was about five inches from the ground which caused me to have to lift my walker into the room if I had been in a wheelchair I would not have been able to access the room. The price was a bit expensive for the accommodations given and it was relatively close to the hoofbeat Festival which I had gone for. The closest restaurant was about six miles away. The area around the hotel was beautiful and in the country, which was the only saving grace to this trip stay.

The room was very clean and somewhat updated for such an old motel. My only concern was the bed was like a rock not very comfortable at all. Also I feel every Motel and Hotel should have a smoking policy that states NO smoking within so many hundred yards of the facility. They were allowed to smoke right out side the door of their unit which means the smoke and smell penetrate every room on either side. Very unattractive and irritating.
