      Great property in a great location
      Having agreed a 3pm check-in, an email was sent whilst we were en-route to say our check-in was delayed to 4:30. We didn't receive the message as we were travelling, so only discovered this AFTER we had arrived at the property at 3pm. I think this is pretty poor, as it left us stuck with our kids in a residential street. I called Hotels.com and they were pretty useless at sorting this out, the lady I spoke to wasn't even allowed to call anyone! Eventually the cleaner let us in (the intercom was off so he hadn't heard us ringing the buzzer). The property itself though was stunning, and we felt very at home there. The location was perfect for us; plenty of nice eateries nearby on Dalry Road, but close enough to walk in to the centre (although we got the bus a couple of times too). I was slightly worried about the proximity to the train station, but with the windows closed we didn't hear a thing (was quite loud with the windows open, though).
