I booked this property for Valentineâs Day and reached out to the host immediately after booking to confirm the reservation. I did not receive a response despite sending multiple messages. The lack of communication throughout the week caused me unnecessary stress.I contacted VRBO to verify the status of my reservation. On their end, the booking appeared confirmed and my payment had been processed. Based on a previous review mentioning a similar experience where check-in instructions were only provided an hour before arrival, I decided to wait until the day of check-in.On the day of check-in, I again attempted to contact the host through multiple messages and by calling the phone number listed, which routed me to VRBO rather than directly to the host. My reservation was cancelled 37 minutes after the official check-in time. The stated reason for cancellation was âenvironmental impact,â citing unexpected natural disasters such as earthquakes or floods that allegedly made the property unsafe. However, as a local resident, I can attest that no natural disasters have occurred.This experience was horrible, there is a serious lack of reliability and communication from the host.
