The room had been recently updated and we were initially pleased until we discovered my sister’s room next door was in the process of being renovated. She was given a room not too far from ours and we were satisfied until we began smelling fumes from the sealer being used on the room next door at around 6 pm. The smell was so strong I had to put a towel under the door and open the window a crack to help keep the smell out of the room. I called the front desk and they came up and asked the contractor to stop for the night. We heard raised voices when this happened and my husband said he could tell by the contractor’s body language as he was leaving that he was not happy about having to stop. The renovations continued the two evenings we stayed and the fumes were present the whole time.

Very nice place to stay, happy with this visit. Only thing was bad is that the bathroom lock didn’t work, it seems like someone installed wrong the lock.

Great location and competitive price

Pros: The rooms were clean, staff was friendly.
Location: There was a Panera and Starbucks adjacent to the hotel and many more restaurants within close driving distance.
We booked this hotel for two nights while we were in town for a robotics event. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The room had a sofabed and King sized bed which was perfect for the three of us. Having a refrigerator is always a nice amenity as well. The breakfast had adequate choices and the biscuits and gravy were particularly tasty. We will remember this hotel for our future visits to the area.

Comfort Inn Elgin

We have stayed here several times & the people are so helpful. Lots of restaurants nearby. They even allowed us to park our car there while we flew to AK for 2 weeks & helped us find transportation to Ohare.

Women overnighter

Great staff. Clean rooms. Modern decor. Totally worth the 120$! Great price and a great hotel. Outside the hotel was just as nice as the inside. Well maintained. Breakfast was great!
