Private Waterfront property with Mountains surrounding the Loft on the Doe River

Private setting with a large deck overlooking hundreds of feet of the Doe River. If you are looking for a romantic getaway with a private setting this is it . One bedroom with king size bed , large bathroom and large great room with kitchen that leads to a large deck that overlooks the Doe River. This is a single unit. It is a second story apartment with 15 steps to enter.Please consider the steps if you have any limited physical restraints .The lower level is a two car garage used for lawn equipment and storage. Large 55" smart tv with wireless internet. It is a new build on a adjacent lot to our original property #7120102. ( may wish to check it out ) These properties share a common very secluded 410 feet of private Doe River shoreline.
Within 25 minutes of the Bristol Motor Speedway, Roan Mountain, Watauga Lake, and the Tweetsie trail. Close to ETSU and Milligan College and centrally located for the famous "Southern Dozen" for the motorcycle enthusiast. Downtown Elizabethton is close by. Private setting but close to shopping.
The Doe River is known for great Trout fishing, especially in the fall. We have 400 ft of river frontage for fishing and or kayaking. The house is located within minutes of the South Holston river as well as the junction of the Watauga and Doe Rivers, one of the best Trout areas in the eastern U.S.
Sit on the large deck and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Great place to get away and relax. Read a book or stream your favorite movie while enjoying the sound of the rapids just below you. Full kitchen with everything you need. King size bed in master. Gas grill for cooking out on the deck as well as comfy furniture under cover. Towels and linens, pots pans and dishes provided. We also have streaming You tube tv and Netflix and wifi for your enjoyment.

As the pictures depict, the Loft is a second-floor apartment and requires climbing 15 stairs for access. If you are limited physically or stairs are a concern you may want to check out our other property. #2127445 which shares the same river front but is one level and no stairs.

A lovely get away home. The decor is adorable and the little touches make for memorable discoveries. Everything is super clean and restful. Everything matched the pictures in the listing. I didn’t want to leave. Sitting outside on the deck with my eyes closed listening to the stream was the most calm I’ve felt in years. I was on a once in a lifetime trip, but if I do ever come back to Tennessee, I will most definitely look to see if Journey’s End is still available.

Such a cute little cozy home. We received a message days before that the home would be available earlier in the day which was great. We were only there 2 nights and did not use any of the kitchen equipment. If we have a reason to come back to the area we would definitely look to see if The Loft is available.

Perfect spot for a getaway

My husband and I enjoyed every moment of our 4 night stay. The river running and the quiet property was exactly safe we needed. We will certainly be back. Great communication from beginning to end. We needed somewhere convenient for the NHRA drag races but also a nice little getaway. The loft was perfect. We were 20 mins from the racetrack. The loft had everything we needed. It is beautiful, well stocked, but yet convenient. We absolutely did not want to leave this extraordinary place on the Doe River.

This property is absolutely amazing. The design and up to date look was beautiful. So peaceful and could not have been better. The river singing to you while sipping coffee on the back porch or leaving the door open while sitting inside made the evenings and mornings relaxing. Will stay here again.
