Budget hotel at interstate exit. This modest property is an acceptable place to spend the night while traveling I40 if you aren’t fussy about amenities and don’t mind a little wear and tear on furnishings and fixtures. Rooms were cheaper here than at the other interior-corridor-free-breakfast hotels in town. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and breakfast was ok. Staff members were friendly.

In need of an upgrade

This hotel needs an upgrade, especially the bathrooms. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good but floor in food area needed cleaning.

As soon as you walk in the entire hotel has some sort of musty/dirty smell which carried into our room. The hallways were dirty and hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time. The toilet in our room did not work and the shower was a small closed wall cave. The water from our bathroom sink was so cloudy we couldn’t even brush our teeth with it. It did not look potable.

Desperately need updated…and cleaned!

Old and dirty. I would not recommend it at all. No updates on this property. Floors and walls and furniture were gross. The room smelled like bad Body Oder. It was a disgusting place. Fortunately the beds seem clean and bathroom sink was clean. Place Needs to be gutted and renewed. The check in was just okay…could not understand the gentleman very well because he spoke so softly. He was older and his suit jacket had stains or dirt on it. Just not a very good impression. Would never ever reserve this place again!

Came into the room to patch the bathroom without letting us know. Huge spotlight shines in the room if you’re facing the front top south side. Electric plugs in lamps didn’t work nor the phone. Couldn’t call front desk. Food sucked.

Run Down

I was very misled by the high ratings on Hotels.com. While our beds were comfortable and the room seemed clean, that is the best I can say for our stay. The whole building is very run down. Every complaint that we made to the desk was answered with something like, "yeah, we know," or "let me guess, it's broken?"-- as though they're accustomed to both the complaints and the brokenness of everything in the hotel. The elevator wasn't working, which was due to a clogged pipe that leaked into the elevator shaft apparently? So our hallway was filled with the toxic fumes of chlorine as they attempted to unclog whatever pipe. No windows were opened and the hallway air burned to breathe. The A/C in our hallway also didn't seem to work. There is one ice machine for the whole hotel, located near the lobby (remember, no working elevator), and it had no ice. But the machine was leaking and the floor beneath it looks rotten from water damage. I was told at check-in that there was laundry available on every floor. Came to find out that the laundry machines were out of order on 2 of the 4 floors, though they were not labeled "Out of Order" so I lost laundry detergent to a broken machine. I also saw guests waiting for the broken elevator; I mentioned it was broken and they said the lobby attendant, a few feet away, never mentioned it. Another couple told me they stood there ten minutes before she mentioned it. This was the least relaxing place we have stayed on a very long road trip.
