The location was great! The issues were with the water standing in the tub assuming the drain just needs to be drained, the musty smell in the cabinets were overwhelming! We had to wash anything we wanted to use to get rid of the smell. Cleanliness issues were the exhaust fan in guest bathroom was clogged with dust, main bath had rust dripping down the wall. Guest bath has a water issue on the wall at the far end of the tub. We were surprised there were no curtains. The beds were super comfortable!

We were a little surprised when I compared this rental with our last rental just a few months ago. In that rental we had everything we needed for the week. Salt, pepper, oil for cooking, first aid kit, sunscreen, and all accessories for the beach. With this particular unit there was no amenities as far as cooking, only 1 roll of toilet paper, I paper towel roll, the lid on the box for beach chairs was broken and water had been sitting for a while, the towel rack fell off the wall, and the shower curtain rod fell during a shower. There was caution tape where the entry stairs were supposed to be so we had to walk around the building to use the front steps. The thermostat had a note that says do not lower the temperature more than 70 degrees because it will freeze up. I am a licensed HVAC contractor for 45 years and I can tell you unless there is a problem with the unit it will not freeze up. At 70 degrees on the thermostat it was miserable sleeping at night because of poor airflow. All in all we would not be staying at this property in the future.

The property location was great.. first floor..short walk through the parking lot to the beach and at the other end of the hall/building was the pool. The unit itself is a bit on the older side but still very functional and we had all we needed. The linens were abundant. A few small things were broken like a lamp, deck box lid, towel bar and shower rod fell a few times but didn’t create much in convenience. I was a bit concerned about the water damage/mold on one bathroom wall but it was reported and hopefully taken care of swiftly .. Overall Emerald Isle was a gem and has become one of my favorite beaches!!
