Upon check-in we were greeted by Shena with a big smile and friendly, fantastic attitude. We were a family of 14 driving from Albany NY on our way to Myrtle Beach. It's our annual vacation and we stay at this hotel every year. Our TV remote control needed batteries and Shena happily brought them to our room and installed them. She also told us if there's anything we need, to just let her know. This was by far our best experience at this hotel. The only issue was the lack of working ice machines. The first floor machine was unplugged, and the only working machine was located on the fourth floor.

I always stay at Hampton Inns because I travel with my dog. While I stay at this property twice or more a year, I have never had a room like this. The window shade was broken, the toilet rocked and the bathroom in general needs an upgrade. If this is considered a "handicap accessible" room, it really needs a walk in shower.

The woman that was on at night was AMAZING! The rooms were dirty, smelled like mildew, pool was unusable because of how green and dirty it was. Spiders in corners, stains on the rugs, broken outlets etc.

Hotel was OK, seemed short staffed. Went to front desk and the agent was outside smoking. They saw me, gave me the one second sign and then smoked and chatted on phone for about 5 minutes before coming back to desk. Rooms were not up to the usual standard. Mold on shower curtain and possible blood stain on comforter.

Leftover food in our fridge when we entered room. No shampoo in pump container in shower. Noisy AC, ran constantly but room thermostat always said 75. Hampton breakfast that we always had enjoyed was woefully lacking. No hot eggs, no syrup, coffee ran out, milk ran out. No yogurt, etc

We had a room with 2 queen beds. One bed had not been changed. Dirty spots(stains) and hair on the sheets and spots on the pillows. TOTALLY DISCUSSING!!!!! There were no housekeeping personal avaliable to change the bed. The person at the front desk had a gentleman from maintenance come to check the room and saw the condition of the bed in question. He apologize for the inconvenience, and helped us move to another room. We didn't find any issues with the second room that was given to us.

A system update resulted in the hotel's inability to generate room keys. Each guest had to be escorted to their room each they left and returned to the hotel. For example, we checked in, and then went to dinner. When we returned, someone had to escort us to our room. The same thing happened the next morning after returning to the room after breakfast. This was a slight nuisance, but the staff did their very best to be accomodating. They were great! The second issue was a bit more concerning. We stayed in a wheel chair access room. When we took shower, all of the water flooded the bathroom as well as the entrance. This was due to a drainage issue. We spent quite a bit of teying to use towells to get up the excess water. We showed the hotel manager when she came to give us more towels to put on the floor, and she agreed there was an issue with the shower's drainage. She offered us another room, but by that time we were already settled into the room. Since we were only there 1 night, it wasn't practicle to move. We deserve a partial refund.

I like the property and the place. I think that the should solve the problem about the keys or stop the reservation, was a little weird to ask for somebody at the front desk to go to the room all the time we need to open.
