Fareview Beach House is a comfortable and fully self-contained 3-bedroom holiday home, ideal for couples or families. Sleeping up to 9 guests, it's just a short walk from the jetty, boat ramp, and the pristine white sands of Emu Bay. Enjoy sweeping sea and beach views from the fully enclosed sundeck – the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Local Highlights: Emu Bay is known for its resident koalas, dolphins, fairy penguins, pelicans, and wide sandy beach – one of the few on Kangaroo Island accessible by car. It’s popular for swimming, water sports, and beach walks, and a fantastic base for exploring attractions like Seal Bay, Flinders Chase National Park, Stokes Bay, American River, and Penneshaw.

Just 15 minutes from Kingscote, the island’s main town, you’ll have easy access to shops, supermarkets, dining, ATM, post office, fuel, hospital, laundromat, and more. A public playground and phone are just 200m away.

Getting Here:
Kangaroo Island can be reached by a 30-minute flight from Adelaide or a 45-minute Sealink ferry from Cape Jervis, approximately a 2-hour drive south of Adelaide. Bring your own car or hire one from Kingscote, Penneshaw, or the airport.

Don't Miss:
The Penneshaw Farmers Market, held on the first Sunday of each month at Lloyd Collins Reserve, is a great place to pick up fresh local produce and meet the makers.

We stayed 3 nights at Fairview Beach House. Great view. Short walk to the water. Sleeps up to 11, great for a family get away. Could do with a good garden tidy up, front and back. View a bit cut off. And a bit of TLC with the internal doors. But all needs provided for and in good proximity to Kingscote for supplies. Emu Bay is a beautiful spot. Will be back one day.

HOME far away from home - Amazing

The property was well-presented and neat with all basic amenities. The property owner/manager was very accommodating and understanding and was just a call (Telstra Network only and no other) away should you encounter any unexpected issues at the property. Wonderful stay at Emu Bay

Emu Bay is a lovely beach and Fareview is very comfortable base to visit the Island. It is well set up with everything we needed and deck is a great space for relaxing. Our pup had some great playtime in the spacious back yard and on the beach. We would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

Fareview is an absolute gem in a beautiful part of the world. It is a very functional beach shack that has it all, price, position and presentation.
