Think Twice
We were excited about booking this property when reading the posting. When we arrived later in the evening we found the only way to the front door was crossing a rickety, rotted out deck with nails sticking up all over. The strong odor of musty/mold greeted us when we opened the door. Host told us to just open some windows. Then we found there was a ladder type stairs to go up to the sleeping area. We are in our 70’s and can’t do stairs due to back and knee problems. But it was not listed in the posting that there would be stairs, or even a second floor. So we could not stay there because of that. Plus, we found clothes still in the washer and the floors looked as though they had not been swept since the last occupants. We were in the place not more than 5 min. Called the host. He was not happy we wanted a refund. On such short notice , it was now 8pm, we then had to locate another place to stay and lost a day of vacation having to locate and relocate lodging, since no place could lodge us for 4 straight nights. We have had to fight to get a little tiny refund. Having to pay out twice for lodging for the same 4 day vacation does not make us happy. We have never before given a negative review. We have lost our trust in VRBO. Don’t ever want to repeat this experience.

4 Tage in Gelderland
Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt sehr gut. Umgebung und die Möglichkeit ausgiebige Radtouren zu unternehmen ausgezeichnet. Die Unterkunft ist für Ausflüge in die Region ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt. Leider können wir das für die Unterkunft nicht so weiterführen, die wir nicht wieder buchen werden. Der Aussenbereich lädt nicht zum Verweilen ein, er ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Besonders die Holzterasse vor dem Eingang weist Lücken und morsche Dielen auf und bildet mit einer starken Moosbildung eine starke Verletzungsgefahr. In der Unterkunft ist die Sauberkeit oberflächlich gewährleistet, hat bei näherer Betrachtung aber doch nicht den Standards entsprochen, die wir bereits in Unterkünften gleicher Preisklasse erfahren haben. Beispiel: Speisereste in Kühlschrank und Gefrierfach die verschimmelt waren, mit starker Geruchsentwicklung. Fett- und Fleisreste auf den im Herd integrierten Lavagrill. Viele Spinnweben in fast allen Räumen und Schmutz an den Fensterscheiben von innen im Wohnzimmmer. (Im Sichtbereich hinter der Eckbank in der Küche Spinnweben und ein Papierbon, der vom Vormieter stammt.) Von der Benutzung der Whirlpoolbadewanne im Badezimmer wurde aufgrund von Haarresten und des Gesamteindruckes der Düsen abgesehen. Es gibt im ganzen Haus keine Möglichkeit eine Jacke aufzuhängen / fehlende Garderobe. Die Vorhandenen Ablagen und Schränke waren nicht geeignet die mitgebrachten Kleidungsstücke zu deponieren.

Das Ferienhaus war gemütlich eingerichtet, hochwertige und neuwertige Haushaltsgeräte. Vorhandener Whirlpool war leider noch nicht in Betrieb. Gute Einkaufsbedinngen, mit dem Fahrrad gut erreichbar. Für Urlaub mit dem Fahrrad ideale Gegend.

Sehr schönes Häuschen
Wir waren leider nur selten im Haus aber trotz kleiner Mini-Probleme (die schnell behoben wurden) war es sehr schön. Vermieter ist sehr nett und hat immer ein Ohr offen.
