Clean, comfortable, good location, but call ahead

Review the details before arrival, and consider calling ahead. The front desk may not be manned after hours and you have to call to get checked in - all was good once I figured out how to call them from a US cell phone. If you're driving and arriving late, the parking garage may have limited access - again, call ahead to verify things. Everyone was super helpful, and everything worked out great. But it wasn't the smoothest experience for me. Happy with the room and breakfast. Right next to the train station. Not noisy.

We came for Essen Spiel game convention. It was a convenient trip to Essen from here and being attached to the mall was a nice bonus. The hotel was comfortable but no frills. It suited our needs just fine.

Clean!

The receptionist was very friendly, spoke very good English and was helpful as well. The place is a little confusing to find, since it is sort of tucked away, but I was digging the fact that it was attached to a mall. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Almost like a small apartment. Definitely a place a would revisit!

Decent basic property

We like the location and the closeness to the train station. Showers are hot with good water pressure. I was disappointed that our toilet bowl cracked and we needed a new room. And the manager wanted us to pay for that. We stay in many hotels and lived in them for six months last year all over Europe. This is a first for us and we believe the hotel should pay for the repair. He is asking us for 130€. Also if you are elderly or arthritic, the only plug to charge your phone is on the ground and the soap bottles are hard to squeeze. We will be reaching out to Best Western corporate for their thoughts in this policy.

I always stay in this hotel whenever I visit Mulheim. It is a very comfortable one in terms of shopping, reachable by walk from the train station and quite convenient to reach Dusseldorf.
