The just completed cabin, with a private lane and parking, includes a walk-up king bed loft and a queen futon loft accessed by ladder. Be advised that the sleeping areas are not walled off from each other. The 600 sq. ft. cabin was built almost entirely from wood harvested, milled and finished on the property. The kitchen has a two-burner gas stove, a small fridge, dining table and a double sink with hot and cold water. Bathroom includes a hot shower, a sink and a composting toilet (don't be intimidated--easy to use). The living room is furnished with a small couch, a Scandinavian recliner, several small chairs and a closet. There is a large deck off of the kitchen if you want to commune with the goats. The bedroom and living room have views to the Cascades. No internet service in the cabin but internet and laundry are available at the main house (just up the hill) as needed. We are 15 minutes from the University of Oregon and Hayward Field and will be attending the Olympic Trials. This is a working farm with sheep, goats, chickens, garden and two friendly dogs. The setting may not be right for everyone, but it will be a great experience for someone.
