Clean, comfortable room, nice restaurant. We didn’t use the casino. We were disappointed that they don’t recycle at the hotel. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.

Had to wait until after 4 to check in. Lined up at that time. Room had one light, requested another and one was provided. No cooling other than a fan. Room windows located directly across from elevator so was noisy. Dog in adjoining room barked for two + hours. Reported to reception not sure what they did, suspect owners left alone and went out! Front desk staff friendly and helpful but they aren’t staying in these rooms and paying for them. Missed the mark!

We had a late check in prearranged, given our room key and walked into a nasty room; unmade beds, hair everywhere and dirty laundry all over. We had to wait for an hour for the front desk gal to clean the room was ready at 12:30 am. Left a voicemail for the manager and still no respond. Terrible experience

Good location and breakfast

I feel the evenings are a bit understaffed that the receptionist was also the one tending to room service. The receptionist was super helpful though so just ended up feeling a bit sad for her. Fitness room is also at bare minimum with no weights at all. They call it cardio room for that reason too. Breakfast was very good. There was a lot of options and good quality ones too so that makes it a big deal for me.

There was no receptionist when we got there. We had to wait for more than 30 min for a women to show up abd check us in. Room was gilty and restroom hadnt been cleaned.

Lots of good; just a few things less good. Staff were very friendly and let us check in about a half hour before normal check in time (4 pm). The room condition when we arrived wasn’t perfect (soap dispensers empty, used cup in room, no spare toilet paper roll), and this may have been because they were trying to get our room ready for us since we arrived early. We asked for clean towels for our two-night stay, and those arrived promptly. And the front desk gave us a couple of bars of soap. Not having stayed at an Express in awhile, we didn’t realize there would not be a daily room clean. Exercise room and pool were fantastic. Breakfast area was spacious enough to always find a place to sit. Casino attached to property. Lots of parking. This hotel is all about convenience/proximity to the Redwoods and great hiking. There are few food options nearby (I would say there are no real food options; but that’s not technically true). We drove to Crescent City each night, and for breakfast. Beautiful drive, so no big issues. Close to Trees of Mystery, a well-run attraction. Close to the scenic highway. Would definitely stay here again for nearby scenery. Casino next door; lost some moola there, but in a fun way.

We had a great experience here. The breakfast offered was great. It was nice to have some adult entertainment with the casino attached to us. It was in a great location and conveniently located to the freeway where we continued our travel in the morning.
