At check-in the manager was condescending and rude. After the transaction I stood waiting for directions to get to my room. She says to me, "ok you can go now." I say go where? I've never been here before. I get to my room and it had this intense dank stale smell!

The motel is incredibly attractive and was in that sense the highlight of our cross-country trip. No other motel came close to the beauty and cleanliness of this property. There was an unusually long wait for someone to appear at the front desk, delaying our check-in. When the staff member who works the front desk did eventually appear, there was no effort to apologize for my wait. Two other employees saw me pacing in front of the front desk looking for help but did not volunteer any assistance whatsoever. There were a number of competing and equally attractive motels nearby, and I will probably try one of them should I return to Evansville.
