Wonderful Stay

The property is very well equipped and comfortable. The pool and gardens are fabulous and very peaceful. Located in a quiet area but also within easy reach of exploring different areas. Zeila and her family were very welcoming but also very discreet.

Um pequeno paraíso

Este é um daqueles lugares idílicos pelos quais suspiramos mas que nem imaginamos estar assim tão perto e à nossa disposição. A casa é pequena, mas com tudo o que faz falta, e o espaço exterior é maravilhoso. A Zélia é uma ótima anfitriã, que sabe deixar os seus hóspedes à vontade. Este é sem dúvida um local a re-visitar.

Peace and Tranquility

Another fabulous week in this lovely cottage and its peaceful rural surroundings. Zeila our host was as accommodating as ever especially given our late flight and after midnight arrival time. The cottage was clean and well equiped with everything we needed and the king size bed although fairly firm was very comfortable. Swimming towels for the pool were also provided so you won't need to pack your own! Host lives next door but left us to our own devices but good to know she was there if there were any issues which there weren't. Have found a real gem here and will certainly be back again soon.

Property had all amenities and was clean and comfortable. Garden was beautiful and the pool was lovely Overall a quiet and relaxing stay,just as we had hoped for.

Perfect gem of a place

Everything about this property was fantastic, from the well-stocked kitchen to the pool! Our host, Zelia, made us feel most welcome and was incredibly helpful. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the location was incredibly convenient for exploring Faro and the algarve.

Rural paradise

We really enjoyed our stay at Casinha Leco Teco. It was the perfect location for our family to explore the Algarve and a nice relaxing rural area to enjoy in the evenings. We liked the pool and relaxing in the hammock, as well as the beautiful gardens. We will definitely recommend this location to others!

Ideal Faro experience

Zelia was a great hostess. So kind and thoughtful. Her little cottage was clean and well appointed. Shower was great, along with the patio area. Nice to sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine at the end of each day. Appreciated her house book. Explaining how everything functioned and info on surrounding towns and restaurants. We would definitely stay again up in this area, away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks Zelia!

The property was ideal for the 2 week stay my wife and I enjoyed in March 2023, and our hosts Mr and Mrs Marcos were most welcoming. Situated in the countryside close to Bordeira the setting was both beautiful and extremely quiet. We were able to walk to nearby villages and eating places. Bordeira is also within driving distance of a variety of beaches and historic sites.

Amazing place

Very nice and spacious place! Check in was very easy, friendly - helpful host as well. A lot of nice nature around. Friendly dog and cat, my kids enjoyed spend time with them. Inside the house you can find everything what you need. We was very happy, because there was warm and cozy even at the winter time.

Away from it all in a good way

A compact but very clean property situated in a peaceful location. It has everything you need with the owners on hand should you need help with anything more. Very easy reach of Faro, Sao Bras and Loule. Loads of hot water (always a bonus in the Algarve) with a powerful shower.

Peaceful location and comfortable cottage

Set in a lovely peaceful location the cottage was comfortable and clean. Zélia, our host was delightful and very accommodating. Very handy location for Sao Bras do Alportel and the surrounding area. Also not too far to drive to Fuseta and Tavira to eat and enjoy their lovely beaches. Only 30 minutes from Faro!

Gorgeous and private!

It exceeded our expectations, even though we fell in love with the pictures online. Such a lovely place; so private, but so close to so much: Santa Barbara de Nex, excellent restaurants, a wonderful market, the coastline, Faro and very authentic, sweet towns. Loved it! Our hosts were so gracious. Takes a bit of talent finding it (better to use Google maps rather than my iPhone), but once you do you will NEVER want to leave. Gorgeous. The kitchen and rooms are very well laid out and the landscaping is superb. We will be there again!

Peaceful property in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful time in this peaceful area of the Algarve. The property was perfect for a family of 4 - extremely clean, well equipped and very quiet, with easy access to beaches and nearby towns. Our children loved the private use of the swimming pool and the surrounding grounds to explore. We hope to return!

Absolutely loved our Christmas stay here, a very relaxing property and very private with decrete own

The advert for this property does not do it justice it is far better than advertised. The property has everything you need, we took bedding and towels but they were all supplied. The property was immaculate. The owner who lives next door was decrete at all times but was helpful when needed. A very spacious property and dog friendly. The surrounding area is private and very tranquil with plenty of places to visit. Be prepared to have a GPS as the roads around Portugal are not easy to follow if you have never been there before. We only have one suggestion and that there are better directions to find this property as there is no name into the road where the house is and no name for the house on the documents, we would never have found it if it wasn't for two cyclists who recognised the photo on our paperwork of the house. I think a name at the top of the road would be helpful to visitors, apart from that we had an extremely enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend it.

Peaceful rural villa in well maintained garden setting

We enjoyed 10 restful peaceful days at Casinha Lecoteco. Everything we needed was provided and the limitations of Wi-fi and English TV channels was an additional bonus - a relief from 24 hour Brexit updates. I was sorry that two local restaurants that we previously knew, Mac Jetes and Chez Malice, had closed but other local typical Portuguese restaurants were available close by at Bordeira and St Barbara de Nexes. The pink Palace Pousada Hotel at Estoi with the formal gardens is worth a visit at sunset. I am sure we will return. Thank you Zelia.

Disappointing experience

Holiday itself was enjoyable what happened on our return home was not. The property owner falsely accused myself and family of damaging some items of her property. In 17years of travel abroad I have never been treated so badly and am saddened and disappointed by this. We could have complained about certain things throughout the holiday but didn't. 1. We believed house to be air conditioned throughout. It was only present in living area, this made it quite difficult for my children to sleep at night. 2. TV was damaged on our arrival, had I complained at this time we would not then later have been accused of this damage. 3. The bed in the main bedroom felt like it would collapse at anytime. I have learned a lot from this experience. It is better to let property owner know all your complaints rather than have what happened to us which is to later be falsely accused on return home

Very relaxing

We had a lovely week here, and the weather was extremely kind to us. The property is very pleasant, albeit a little smaller than we had expected. The main bedroom and the lounge area in particular. However all very comfortable and excellent value. Zelia is lovely and very helpful. She speaks excellent English.

Perfect Home

We stayed ten days in this beautiful home. Lovely and modern with all essentials need. Perfect rural retreat with beautiful gardens to sit out and relax and listen to the birds chirping yet only a five minute walk to local restaurants .Our host Zeila was lovely and helpful and always near by if we needed anything. . The location is very central to tour around with loule only 15mis away and Faro & beaches 20 mins . All in all we would highly recommend this property as it has everything for a perfect holiday

Quiet, rural, exceptionally clean.

My husband and I stayed for one month in February and had a lovely time. Zelia and her husband were available when we needed them, but very discreet and respectful of our privacy. I would have liked a dishwasher (I hate washing up!), but acknowledge there is really no-where to put one. The garden was beautiful and everything very clean and tidy. I recommend you buy oranges and eggs from Zelia rather than the supermarket - they were truly delicious!
