Great location, updated bathrooms, easy check in with a personal assistance meeting us.We found many places nearby to grab a bite to eat, dinner at Osteria Toscanella 5 doors down, and a small grocery about 200 ft away. Our only suggestion is to replace kichen chairs, as the cloth is stain covered....and the living room rug is also dirty....perhaps a new one in a darker color. Overall the property is super convenient to the Arno river, Boboli Gardens, galleries and museums and great food.It is three floors up, so definitely not easy for anyone with mobility issues.I would stay here again....
We looked for two things when searching for places to stay: AC and Wifi. Unfortunately the wi-fi didn't work and they sent someone to fix it, but didn't work. It was very hard to plan and we had to go to a cafe for interner throughout the day. The last night all the power went out and we had to go to the bottom of the building and reset the breaker. Once this was reset the Internet worked. So it was an issue with the modem, however the host believes at this exact moment the Internet was magically improved by the Internet provider and this reason they are refusing any type of refund. Even VRBO customer service reached out as well and they refused. I would give more stars if it wasn't for this and also the fact that we literally lost all power. Also to note it is about 50 steps up to the apartment. The carpet and chairs were quite staine. The rest of the apartment was good. Would recommend a book with instructions to explain how to reset breakers as this seems to be an issue for them to loose power. The location was good. You could hear the neighbors but we brought a sound machine which helped. The host was not the nicest when we called with problems. She seems annoyed that I didn't know how to reset the breaker that was hidden in the building and spoke quite rudley. If you want wifi to be able to plan your trip or communicate back home, I wouldn't recommend this place then. Also to note this is the first time I have ever given a bad review and we have traveled a lot!
Overall this place was great. You are so close to some of the best restaurants in Florence. Steps away from the best gelato. My only criticism was the area rug in the living room. It was very dirty with stains everywhere. Maybe replace the rug with a darker color?
This unit location is as good as it gets. You can easily walk to many great spots of interest on both sides of the river. There is excellent dining and great wine bars literally right down the block. The gelato down the street is arguably the best in Florence.Unit has all the basics for a great stay.Couple of draw backs. Unit is on the 4th floor up a narrow staircase with many switchbacks. There is no elevator in this building. Only one of the showers is unusable because it floods the unit below We were informed of this when we checked inand it would be looked at "SOMETIME".Rug in living area looks like some did a motorcycle overhaul on it.Listing states there is a clothes dryer. There is no dryer in this unit. There is a fold up drying rack.
The apartment is cozy and is in a great location! We followed the instructions for check in however did not get any response and we waited 20 minutes for the manager to show. The apartment smelled like sewage but on our second morning a truck was pumping out and the smell improved so probably just bad timing. The kitchen is bare bones with necessary cooking utensils. And there was no laundry detergent- something i think the host should kindly supply for the guests. Overall 5 stars for the location and layout for comfortability for our family of 4.
So close to everything. Took 20 min to walk to all the amazing tourist attractions, yet far enough away to feel like you are living like a local. Only recommendation would be screens on the windows and thicker towels. Loved it, would still rent the apartment even if it stayed as is.
