Wish we had stayed longer. Its a beautiful hotel. Plush rooms and bathroom. We were passing through and had only booked it only for a night stay but left wishing we had longer to spend in the room.

The hotel is undergoing complete renovation on some floors, lifts not working, plastic covering stairs, noise and disruption was clearly evident and the hotel should not be open, from a health and safety perspective and for the enjoyment of the stay, really disappointing that this information was not made available when booking, it’s actually quite shocking that a large group like best western operate like tthis.

Hotel is being upgraded, I had a update room on the 3nd floor which was great, good location,not much of a problem with work carry on at the same time, definitely stay there again

This was my 5th stay at the Clifton - this time I had one of the refurbished rooms, and it really shows. I have always liked the older rooms, but the newer ones are very good. Hotel is well located on the Leas, easy walk to town. The breakfast is good, and the Marco Pierre White restaurant is well worth a visit. No doubt I will be back.

Amazing stay
Stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms with a lovely view overlooking the sea. Excellent room and very comfortable bed. We paid the extra £2 for breakfast which was brilliant loads of options and good quality items. This hotel will alway be our go to whenever we are down Folkestone watching a show at lea cliff theatre which is just across the road.
