Couples at Cabana Blue is the perfect escape from your traditional lodging. This one bedroom, fully furnished, uniquely designed and well upgraded suite is a hidden gem! The suite is located on the top floor of the oceanfront Cabana Blue property. Couples is the perfect weekend retreat, or a great add-on bonus for guests also renting other parts of the property. Inside you will find a fully functional kitchen with stainless appliances, a colorfully fun backsplash and a dining nook perfectly situated in front of the large window overlooking the Atlantic. There is also a cozy living area with a love seat and accent chair nestled in front of the large flat screen TV. From the living area you can open the balcony door for a view of the island interior. The bedroom has a queen sized memory foam bed, small storage closet and another flat screen TV. The large bathroom has double vanities and a glass enclosed tile shower. Ocean View was as advertised...BUT

When we got there we had no light over shower or toilet area. Comforter had stains and a spec of blood. Mouse droppings on counter top. Internet is useless. Basically dial up. Took pictures and submitted but No one responded to my texts or email until 48 hours later so I had to actually drive to property management location and the young men there helped and got us new bedding and the lighting fixed.They couldn't fix internet cuz it's pretty obvious the owners just have an awful set up there with very old wireless access points. Place just felt neglected. They're collecting checks and not even doing the simplest of things to appease renters That said view of ocean was perfect but if you are someone who ever has a need to tap in for work or wants to be able to stream some shows at night before bed with your spouse...forget about it. I've worked in IT for 26 years, I haven't seen speeds like that since 2000. They never responded or even attempted to fix the WiFi issues. For what they charged for a 4 day stay, compared to other properties we've stayed at on Folley...not happy

Perfect getaway for couples!

We had a great time! Awesome view and very relaxing! Just a couple of minutes to the stores and restaurants. So many things to do and I got plenty of photos for great memories! We would definitely come back

The Couples is a nice property and the ocean access is as advertised. The living space is small, but for 2 people it is clean and sized comfortably. I would have given this 5 stars, but the shared deck access is awkward. At some point before we got there the neighbors moved all of the deck furniture to their side, leaving us only the 2 long sun chairs. They just need to get another high top table for two and it would be better. But if you like to sit on the deck and see the ocean, plan to do it with whoever is staying in the other side of the house. This property is about a mile from the center of town. Which is a 15-20min walk on narrow streets. Free parking in town is difficult. Most of the lots were 10-20 to park all day. Overall a really nice property.

Lovely beachfront

This property is not the most snazzy or modernized and could use a little exterior facelift, but the comfort and beach access more than make up for that. There are two other units in the building and we were in the smallest, but still felt quiet and private. Would love to go back!

Great for a beach weekend

Overall, good place to stay on the beach. It is a little far down from the restaurant area, but a quick bike ride or longer beach walk will get you there. Being able to walk right out onto the beach was great! The unit was clean and enough space for 2, but the bed was terrible and extremely firm.

Purely Relaxing

The property was just what we needed, a comfortable bungalow type space for my husband and I to get away. We were right on the beach and it was so refreshing and cozy. The check in was so easy and the staff at The Dunes property management were wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!!

Great Oceanfront Stay!

This little apartment was a great place for a long weekend beachfront stay.Pros: it’s just a few steps to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Easy parking and plenty of porch room to sit and enjoy. Cons: It’s a little dated. The ceiling was cracked at the air vents and walls cracked around some windows in the bedroom. There were giant flies that came in from the bathroom somewhere and had left their mess all over the bathroom counter, sinks, and toiletries left for us to use. Only had 2 washcloths so might want to bring more or plan to do some washing! It was still a great place to stay!

Cozy stay and beautiful views

My boyfriend and I loved staying at Couples! It was the perfect size for the two of us, with lots of amenities and beautiful views to enjoy. We loved being able to walk everywhere and had the best time!

Perfect for couples!

Perfect in so many ways! The house itself sits on West Ashley of Folly beach, which are where the bigger houses are & overall a lot more peaceful. At the same time it’s only 8 blocks from Main Street where all the restaurants & bars are. Absolutely perfect location. Also it’s literally 50 steps out of the front door and you have your toes in the sand of a great beach. Inside it’s very well appointed with updated furniture, nicer higher end appliances, & huge bathroom. The management group was also very easy to deal with check in & check out process. Would highly recommend this to us unit to anyone.

Cozy Cottage Feel

Location was juat as we dreamed! Beautiful view from deck and so close to the ocean. We saw dolphins from our deck and even a crab! There was some deferred maintenance on the property but nothing to ruin the stay. Make sure you take your own soap and kleenex. Our parking spot was not in the garage area, but further down the driveway and we left in the dark this morning and I fell down because of the uneven concrete and no light to find the car.

Perfect little apartment on the beach

My husband and I came to Folly for New Years and our anniversary. This apartment was right on the beach, a 3-5 minute drive to the eating and shopping district, and the perfect size for a couple. There is also excellent shark tooth hunting grounds just in front of the apartment.

Cozy and Modern Beach Getaway!

We had a great stay at this one-bedroom hideaway right on the beach. Great porch and umbrella table for sitting on the deck and watching the surf. The inside was clean and comfortable. Loved the king bed! Far enough from downtown Folly for peace, but close enough to bike for food and shopping. Cool place!
