The Duke Cabin - A FOREST LAKES Cabin in the Woods!

The Duke Cabinis a LuxuryWesternCabin in Arizona's premier National Forestrecreation area, Forest Lakes. The cabin islarge with3 floors with bedrooms,a dramatic 25-foot window wall with forest views out every window andis located in Arizona's most coveted getaway community.
The main floor has The Duke's room with a comfortable king bed, abathroom with a shower,thewell appointed chef'skitchen including a 36-inch gas range-top, double ovens, combinationconvection oven/air fryer/microwave and dishwasher, a coffee bar,a big round table for gathering, a two-story stonewood burning fireplace and a living space with a smart tv, sofa, and rocker recliner.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms; onebedroom withtwo comfortablequeen beds, anightstand and achest and and one bedroom with 1 comfortable queen bed, two night stands and dresser, and a shared full bathroom with separate shower and jacuzzi bathtub. There is also a large loft with a sectional sofa-sleeper, and a65-inch Smart TV with Bluetooth surround sound.
The basement has a recreation room with a foosball table, a card/game table and tons of board-games, cards and puzzles, a half bathroomplus a bedroom with a stone fireplace, a queen bed and a single bed, chest and nightstand.
Unwind on the big wraparound deck to the fresh aroma of thetowering Ponderosa Pine forest.There's a BBQ grill and outdoor living and dining space on the deck too! A bigswing on the covered porch is a great place for a morning cup of fresh brewed Duke's Cowboy coffee!
There's plenty of space for outdoor games, a campfire pit and cable picket lines for dogs to run.
Forest Lakes is an island surrounded by the Sitgreaves National Forest and is home to the world's largest stand of Ponderosa Pine Trees. It sits atop the Mogollon Rim at 7,700 feet elevation. Residents enjoy the best summer weather in the world with average temps in the mid 70's and it is only a scenic two hour drive from most parts of the Phoenix Valley and some ofthe worst summer weather in the world! There is 4 seasons here and all times of year are good to visit. There's plenty ofsnow in winter and a sledding hill on the property!
Nearby lakes and streams teaming with fish are just minutes away! The area is home to very diverse wildlife with deer, elk and wild horses among the frequent visitors to the community.

Great stay

This cabin was wonderful! It was so clean, plenty of bedding/pillows/towels. The beds were very comfortable. The outdoor deck was great to enjoy the weather! We will definitely stay again :)

Short but sweet

We had a great time and it would have been perfect for spiders and spiderwebs we needed to deal with. That being said the hosts were amazing and I think we were the first for the season to stay so that can be expected. They appreciated us being honest about it so they could get it taken care of right away! We would stay again!

Great place for a larger family

We had a wonderful time here. The property was just as described. It truly fit our family perfectly. There were 8 of us but could have easily fit more. We safe around the large table each night playing family games and explored the neighborhood during the day while we played in the snow. I cannot praise Rhonda enough. There ended up being a delay getting out due to a big storm and Rhonda was so kind and more worried about our safely than the late departure.

Weekend out of the heat

The Duke House was wonderful!! Looks great in the pics and even better in person. Plenty of room and well equipped with what you need to cook a meal to enjoy on the deck. Love that the deck has a gate which is great to keep pets and kids confined when enjoying the wonderful weather! Looking forward to another visit in the future.

Beautiful cabin in the tall trees

We had a lovely time staying at the Duke Cabin! We enjoyed our stay at this tranquil forest oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the valley. The property is beautiful and close to rivers and hiking. Thanks so much to the amazing owners who ensured we had a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect cabin for a snow weekend with sledding hill!!!

My family and I rent cabins in different areas in AZ on a annual basis and this was one of our favorites. This cabin is perfect if you are looking to have fun in the snow. The property has a sledding hill which the kids and adults enjoyed so bring your toboggans and snow gear. The house accommodated multiple families and one dog, however the property was not fenced in so if you have a dog that runs off it may not be suitable for you. Also, the stairs down to the basement are a bit slippery so be cautious especially if you have young kids and the basement is a bit colder than the rest of the house. The host responded timely to any concerns or questions we had throughout our stay.

Fun in the pines

This cabin is a great place to stay to enjoy friends and family and the great outdoors. Tons of room and has everything you could possibly want. Lots of fun games as well. Close proximity to Woods Canyon lake. Looking forward to our next visit.
