Looking for a spectacular bungalow?
If you are looking for a home that has the 4 Cs...character, charm, comfort and clean...then the Rock-n-Kosh Bungalow is your get away place! Our Bungalow is distinct in the graceful way the main roof curves down over the large, enclosed front porch. It has 3,000 sq ft, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and sleeps 12 people - in 5 very comfortable queen beds and a queen futon. Meals can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. Want to watch TV? You can access local channels or stream using your own provider on all 3 Smart TVs. The Eagle's Nest Lodge is located above the detached garage, just a few steps away from the main house, and provides a separate gathering room for everyone!

Looking for stay-at-the-bungalow activities?
Sit on the sun porch with a cup of steaming hot coffee or tea and curl up with a book. Venture into the garage game room and play ping-pong, speed electronic basketball, air hockey, old school electronic bar top game, XBox One gaming system, dartboard, board games, and card games. Hang out in the Eagle's Nest Lodge above the garage, EVERYONE'S favorite place, where you can congregate around the bar, engage in conversation, play games, watch TV, or go out on the balcony for the breezes, sights, and sounds of the Rock River as you search for eagles. Brand new wooden Gorilla playset for toddlers to 10-year-olds. Play outdoor games such as corn hole, ladder toss, fish off the pier or shoreline, sit around the fire pit making s’mores, and sipping your favorite beverage while watching the stars as they emerge from our breathtaking Wisconsin night sky.

Looking for water activities?
Have fun exploring the Rock and Bark Rivers using one of our FOUR kayaks, stand up paddleboard, and canoe. In the garage are all sizes of life vests for kids and adults. If you get too hot, climb down the ladder on your private pier to cool off. The Rock River (bottom is a little rocky), is a blissful ‘no wake’ area, which makes it perfect for floating, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and fishing. Take your personal boat or a locally rented boat to Lake Koshkonong for swimming, tubing, skiing, or just boating around the expansive 10,464 acres. Want to go swimming at one of the local beaches? Sandy Beach is less than 15 minutes away - clean and beautiful! We have 6 outdoor blue chairs, lawn blanket, and umbrella you can take with you.

Plenty of fishing opportunities where you can catch several varieties of fish. Need a fishing pole? We have 7 adult poles, 2 for children, and a tackle box in the garage. Some of the fish in the Rock River are: walleye, catfish, panfish, northern pike, perch, blue gill, white bass, crappie, carp, and large/smallmouth bass.

Looking for land activities?
Hike or bike the 1-mile Bark River Nature Trail which is just a street away from the Bungalow. We even have 8 bikes that you can use and provide some bike helmets. The Glacial River Bike Trail will take you through a tree lined paved path, and if you stay on it long enough...a vintage, red-covered bridge. Make reservations at the Fireside Theater to eat a delicious meal, enjoy a musical, and shop in their unique boutiques. Bring your golf clubs, or use one of our sets, and your ‘A’ game for Koshkonong Mounds Country Club. The Fort Atkinson Aquatic Center has a pool, tennis courts, basketball court, archery range, and an obstacle course. Want to go bowling or play miniature golf, then venture into town. Trek through the Dorothy Carnes County Park for fun hiking, picnicking, and bird watching. You can even choose to jump out of a plane!

Our concrete driveway is long, and 6 cars can park in front of the garage and alongside the house. Vacation rental guests are not allowed to park in the street, it is a city ordinance, so please only park in the driveway. There is also a rock/gravel area where a boat or wave runners could be parked. Our water frontage is easy to identify as the concrete is edged in a dark brown.

Our Bungalow is one of the most special places for our family and friends, and guests. The neighborhood is well established, family-oriented, safe, and laid back. The perfect place to relax with family and friends while you make lifetime memories!

Absolutely Fabulous Accommodations
This is a 5+ star accommodation. We absolutely could not believe how amazing and beautiful this place was. The pictures just cannot show all the detail and thought that was put into every detail to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay (all the extra amenities). They truly thought of everything that someone may need!! This is a vacation inside of itself and you would never have to leave the premises. We will make this a once a year stay if not more. First class!

Holy bananas!
Amazing, organized, relaxing, perfection are the words I would use for Twila and her space. She communicated and accommodated our group to make the weekend wonderful and memorable. It was like walking through a comfortable museum, she has embraced the community for a truly landmark property. The house exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to visit again.

Wedding retreat
Our family had a wedding in Fort Atkinson. We needed a place for the bridesmaid's to sleep and get ready before the big event. We were allowed to check in to the space early to change for the rehearsal on Friday afternoon. It was perfect. The place has four bedrooms and multiple gathering spaces. In addition there is also a space off of the kitchen over the garage. We choose not to use that space due to timing but I can only imagine during the summer the fun one could have! The girls were able to do hair and make up Saturday morning around a dining room table that seated eight comfortably. The bathrooms were stocked with more than enough towels, extra toilette supplies and all the shampoo/conditioner one could use. We were able to have a full breakfast using the appliances and oven for an egg bake! We made coffee for twelve people and had flavored creamers and other things that I wouldn't have remembered to pack. Twila and Robert have thought of everything. They had a "welcome" sign for us and a beautiful charcuterie. Every room had chargers for phones, multiple outlets and plenty of closet space. We didn't have any kids but in two spaces were a toddler bed and crib. Extra blankets were easy to spot and everything was labeled very well. Directions for locking and exiting were very specific and clean up a breeze, The wedding was perfect at the Creamery 201 and thank you for allowing our entire family of twelve to stay. It was exactly a six minute drive away.

Great place for a getaway with friends and family
Booked this house for a weekend guys trip. Five life long friends had plenty of room within the house for sleeping, it has a great man cave / bar area to hang out in above the garage / game room that overlooked the river which was fantastic. The town is a ten minute walk from the house, so it’s great for bar crawls, and communication with the owners was fantastic. They were very responsive and also left us with a few extra things food wise we were pleasantly surprised to find and were definitely appreciated. There’s history about the home itself throughout the house and the backyard with the fire pit and game room would make both adults and kids happy. It’s a great town, very nice people and good food. I would highly recommend this house to anyone whether it be for an adult trip or family vacation.

Home away from home.
This lovely home had everything we could need and so much more. It felt like a home away from home. We were able to host family a couple different times and create lasting memories. The bonus room above the garage was the perfect area to host. The hosts Twila and Robert have succeeded in perfecting the art of creating an amazing and memorable VRBO experience. It was the perfect place for us to spend time with each other and family. We look forward to returning.

Fabulous stay in perfect home!
We stayed in this beautiful home for our son's wedding. It was absolutely perfect in every way and our hosts Twila and Robert made everything so easy. We were able to have some extended family over for a fajita dinner the night after the wedding and the second floor with deck above the garage was spacious and comfortable. Our family really enjoyed the game room in the garage as well. When we travel and stay in VRBO's, I usually end up buying things for the kitchen but this was the most well equipped and organized kitchen (and home) we have ever encountered. As a matter of fact, I actually took a few pictures with my phone as a reminder of ways that I could improve organization of my own kitchen. We were too busy to kayak and canoe on the Rock River but a few family members did some catch and release fishing from the dock. I hope that we can go back to this house sometime in the future when we don't have so many wedding obligations. We would love to spend time kayaking the Rock and Bark Rivers and exploring all that Fort Atkinson has to offer. We travel and rent quite a bit and this was the most organized well-equipped comfortable home we have stayed in. Twila and Robert have thought of everything and at least one (or both) are organizing superstars. It was a fabulous stay and we were completely "over the moon" for the house.

Eagle's Nest is the Best
Our group of 10 adults had the pleasure of staying at this gorgeous property over an extended holiday weekend and had a wonderful time! Robert and Twila ensured the home was well maintained and stocked with essentials (in case we forgot anything) and were prompt in responding to our questions. As other reviews have mentioned, the Eagle's Nest is indeed everyone's favorite place! We enjoyed kayaking, playing games, bbq'ing and hanging out by the river. We even met their wonderful neighbors who were kind enough to introduce us to their home-canned dilly beans! Our stay felt less like a rental and more like staying at a family member's home. Thanks again Robert and Twila! Hope to stay again in the future!
