Pumpkin Pines

Beautiful 2 bedroom cabin sitting atop of the famous lookout mountain. Tastefully decorated throughout. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed with an entrance door to the rear deck and hot tub. The second bedroom has a full size bed. This is the perfect location to see Little River Canyon, DeSoto Falls and Mentone. The adventurous Little River Canyon is only 1 turn and 4 miles away. You can also be at the DeSoto State Park in just a short 8 minute drive. Extremely convenient to all of the must see shops, top rated hiking trails and some of Alabama's greatest waterfalls all within some of the shortest drives. If getting out and exploring isn't your thing, we have TV's in every room with plenty of movies and tv shows to stream through while you relax away.

Very nice and private 4 person hot tub enclosed on the rear porch with multi color lights for setting the perfect mood. A very unique oversized fire pit with river rock and large sitting boulders, dimmable outdoor lights around the firepit makes this a perfect area to enjoy and not to mention cooking out on the charcoal grill while roasting marsh mellows on the fire.

We are very communicative and will happily guide you to the areas best attractions whether it be Restaurants, Fishing, Hiking, shopping malls and so on. We love to help.

The cabin was really clean, tidy and welcoming. The host was excellent at communicating and everything went smoothly. This cabin is conveniently located and it’s just a short drive to Little River Canyon, Little River Falls, Desoto Falls and State Park. Downtown Fort Payne is only a few minutes away and offers plenty to see and explore while you’re in the area. I highly recommend this cabin if you want a convenient and clean place to stay while visiting the beautiful scenery of the area. I’ll definitely be going back!

Pumpkin Pines was a beautiful little cabin that was the perfect long weekend getaway. Quiet, beautiful neighborhood. Loved our time there and in the Fort Payne/Mentone area! Will definitely be back at some point in the future!

Our second time staying at Pumpkin Pines. It’s the perfect location for all the area has to offer. The cabin has the necessary amenities to cook or grill. Make sure to include a meal out at Southern Harvest the food is amazing and the owners are friendly.

The property was wonderful and just what we were needing for a weekend away. It was super clean and comfortable. We used the hot tub, grilled a steak and cooked several meals, and had a bonfire. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. Enjoying coffee on the front porch while rocking was a true highlight.

Very cute cabin! Me and my kids loved every inch of it. It rained the whole weekend but we still enjoyed our stay by staying in the hot tub or just watching a movie in the cabin. It is closer to the road than I thought but it wasn’t a whole lot of traffic on the main road.

The perfect place to relax. We did a surprise birthday for my sister. It was her 70th birthday. The cabin was quaint, quiet and very relaxing. We got to explore the area. Enjoyed great food. But most of all enjoy our family time together.

Quiet and Cozy

We had a great trip. The house was easy to find, while the road out front was busy at times it was still quiet. It was hot and humid, but the breeze on the front porch while swinging and rocking was nice, and locals waving as they drove by. Matt was very quick to respond to all messages. And even though it was hot outside we still enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after hiking! We have a few recommendations for him, but those did not affect our stay. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area!! Weird part for us is we hardly seen any wildlife our whole trip in Alabama, dead or alive, back home we have an abundance of squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, and deers. There were some blue jay bird house across the street so we seen them while on the porch. Found some pretty cool looking fungus though while hiking. The house was located in a prime spot to go do things in any direction within a 30 min drive. We went to cathedral caverns, went and hiked trails to see waterfalls, went to Tigers for tomorrow, went to crossville to the large flea market, and went to the Unclaimed Bagged store. General store up the road has great ice cream 36 flavors to chose from and great price only paid 5.50 for 2 of us, back home it would have been 10-15! So yes book this house you won’t regret it! Sorry didn’t get any pics of the house lol

Wonderful cabin!

Absolutely loved staying here! Cabin was clean, inviting and well equipped. Beds were soft and comfortable. Hot tub was amazing and relaxing. Back porch gave plenty of privacy. I will be back!

Amazing!

We booked this cabin for our very first Christmas married, and it exceeded all our expectations! The cabin was peaceful, beautifully decorated for the season, and provided the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. Our favorite part was the hot tub, which was enclosed on the porch and offered great privacy. The owner was quick to respond to all of my questions and was very helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a perfect trip, and we can’t wait to return!
