4.5 stars. Great area, short walk across walkway to beach, maybe 5-7 minutes. (Don't forget your bands for beach access). Lazy river was a tad cool at the end of October but heated pool was nice. Quick drive to anything you need. Lost a few points for worn keypad entry. A little trouble getting it to work first night as we got there late, but after that no trouble. Some issues with the rooftop grill and hot tub jets but they were super quick to respond and stated they would be replacing the grill. Awesome to watch the sunrise from the rooftop hot tub! The 1 and 3 year old loved the stairs to the rooftop so much the adults were tired of going up and down with them. Nice patio. Need to remove some worn patio furniture from rooftop but there were tons of furniture otherwise. The master had blackout curtains which was nice for toddler naptime. Everyone said the beds were comfortable, even the pullout couch. The property was well taken care of and the pool area very nice. We walked along the bayside everyday, not much beach but saw several tiny stingrays along the edge. Could use some kid friendly cups/plates but we just used paper for them. Would definitely book this unit again! Also if you go don't miss the delicious beignets from Beignets and brews down the road, or Fudpuckers in Destin with their alligator park if you have kids!

This place is an awesome place. It all began with the early check-in! That was so appreciated. The roof top view is spectacular. We enjoyed a firework show up there, that was perfect! The hot tub was heated nicely! This place is very spacious, and just down-right comfortable. Will definitely visit again!

The condo was fantastic!!! Loved the private hot tub. Appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. All appliances worked properly. Just an overall fabulous time. The only criticism would be the keypad and door to the condo. The lock on the door would not engage properly and we inadvertently left the door open upon our departure. After that we had to check it multiple times before it would lock. Also the keypad randomly wouldn’t work either I think it has a short in it of some sort. Other than that

We had a great time and the accommodations were perfect especially with children. We had a great view of them in the river in the pool at all times. It's a great neutral location for visiting all the beaches in Destin too. We love the Bay as much as we love the beach across the street!Hope to come back next year!

Perfect Penthouse

The condo was very nice and spacious. The weather was windy, and at times, cold so we were inside more than expected. However, we still had a great time playing cards and board games while enjoying time as a family. The condo also has a big balcony with a nice view of the bay. We also enjoyed grilling and hanging out on the roof. The check in and out process was very simple. It was very easy to access the pool area and the bridge which leads to the beach. We bought a kite and had a lot of fun flying it there. Overall, we had a lovely visit and would highly recommend this condo.

Relaxing family vacay

This vacation was just my husband and I with our four kids. It was so convenient to everything we wanted to do! We had so many options with the pools, beach, and bay that we never got bored. There are restaurants within walking distance so we barely needed our car. The Boardwalk and Gulfarium are tons of fun. Dolphin and fishing cruises take off from right next door. This condo was very spacious and had gorgeous views. We watched fireworks from the Boardwalk in our hot tub on the roof two nights! Best view with zero crowd! We will definitely be back!

Last Spring Break

We enjoyed the condo and the rooftop patio. The condo was very clean and had plenty of room! The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals. We also enjoyed having a grill to cook on as that is our cooking method of choice! We loved being able to walk to so many places and activities! Lots of restaurants, shops and activities very close to the resort. The only complaint was that we wish the lazy river had been heated or the weather had been warmer.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfortable. The guest book was a great touch! Excellent amenities and well stocked with basics. The hot tub was the best while it was 50° weather. Beautiful view of both sunset and sunrise. I hope to be back!

Interrupted Vacation

The penthouse met most of our expectations with the view and amenities. A couple days into our family vacation, the condo next started a renovation which included a jackhammer at 7AM. Not how we wanted to spend our vacation!! We called the managers, it took several calls before someone would call us back. We were told they didn't know about the renovations (but they also managed that condo). They offered a free night and that the renovations would stop at 5pm and not start until 9 am the next morning. Shortly after 8AM, the noise stattes again. They did move us to the neighboring condo after we had to call again and talk to two different people. Just some added stress and frustration on a vacation that we were looking forward to relaxing and being away as a family.

Beautiful Vacation

The Destin West Beach and Bay Resort is our favorite place for family vacations the past few years. This condo was great and we loved the upper deck of the penthouse. It was great for late night hangouts in the hot tub and listening to music. The condo was spacious even with 5 adults and 2 children. The view of the pool and lazy river was absolutely beautiful. Pool access was close and covered parking was available. Will be staying again next year! -The Gormley’s

Great potential, but this one needs some TLC and a deep clean.

The condo was nice upon first glance, but we were quickly very disheartened to find the floors were left absolutely filthy when my crawling infant was found to have literally black hands, knees, and feet. Trying to keep him off the floors was very challenging. Management was notified of the issue and was supposed to send a cleaning person that evening, but nobody ever arrived. Upon an additional text to management the next day, a cleaning lady came and re-cleaned all floors. We were much happier with the cleanliness of the condo after the cleaner came. In addition to the nasty floors, the curtains in the primary bedroom had massive dust bunnies, lamps appeared to have never been dusted, the sliding door track was filthy, appearing to have never been cleaned, there was mold growing on the wall in the laundry room, dirty foot prints on walls (appeared to be from a child), dust bunnies on vents, fans that did not work, TV remotes that didn't work, and limited dishes needed in the kitchen. The primary bedroom reached 84 degrees every afternoon. Management tried to be helpful and were very kind, but this place is clearly owned by someone who never visits. It needs a facelift aesthetically, a total deep clean, and repairs to some walls that appear to have moisture issues. I loved the location of the condo and we really enjoyed the rooftop, pool and lazy river on the Bay side. We would stay in that building again, but definitely NOT this condo given the premiums we paid.

Few minor inconveniences

First night we almost set off fire alarm, greass in the oven was smoking, caused us to have half cooked pizza!! Next day we bought oven cleaner and scrubbed it ourselves!! Master bath jacuzzi doesnt work!! Grill on roof was also outof propane and not working!! Other than that it was great!! Oh and we never realized it was in ft. Walden and not destin til too late!! Area has a large homeless population and the vibe from the town was rundown and unkempt!!

We had an amazing vacation in Osprey PH04. Everything was perfect. We had a problem with the grill and they brought a new one the next day! We often brought our kids here when they were little and they enjoyed it just as much now as young adults. We love Destin West!
