Best motel in Fox Glacier

This is an amazing motel. We always stay here. It’s super clean, modernized, fabulous view and great people. On top of that it’s dog friendly. Very underrated. You won’t regret staying here.

We liked that the motel is near the town centre so getting our daily supplies was easy and is also nearer to Lake Matheson. The motel is a little dated which is understandable based on the value we got from the stay. There were 2 guard dogs (one black and one brown) that roam around the motel. The doggos were adorable and well-trained. Some visitors may not be comfortable with the dogs but we were fine with their company.

Nice kitchen and good view of Mount Cook from the motel! We were greeted by a horse when we arrived. Clean, quiet, and a good heating system, which kept us warm indoors during a cold autumn day.

Very nice motel in Fox Glacier town

Wonderful motel about 1 km out of Fox Glacier toward Lake Matheson. Checkin was great, host provided map of both Fox Glacier & Franz Joseph. Our suite was spacious, in room kitchenette / living room with large comfy sofa, 2 bedrooms & bath/shower. Overall very comfortable & nice.

This is a wonderful motel which is convenient for the town, glacier and lake. The room was large, super clean with good amenities. A great modern bathroom and large shower. Friendly proprietor and staff. I highly recommend a stay here.

Room was large, quiet and included a kitchen to cook dinner or breakfast. We got food at town grocery store to cook for both meals. Connor at check in was friendly and provided lots of info. Fox Glacier is a small quiet town. We enjoyed staying here.
