Charming Carriage House on Baron's Creek - 2 blocks from Main Street!

Creekside Carriage House is situated on almost 2 acres alongside Baron's Creek, and directly behind the owners' popular Creekside Farmhouse vacation rental. Creekside Carriage House is available as an adjunct to Creekside Farmhouse, or as its own private rental.

Featuring amazing views of Baron's Creek and lush, grassy fields - you will feel like you are in the country, but are only 2 blocks from Main Street, and a short walk to all of the downtown attractions. Take the steps down to Baron's Creek for a stroll by the water, watch the wildlife from the treehouse-like loft, or lounge on the brand new deck overlooking the creek. This is what vacations are all about!

Remodeled in the Summer of 2017, with a new deck added in June, 2021, Creekside Carriage House features a large downstairs game-room/lounge with a custom built bar, fridge, sink, 65-inch flat screen TV, sitting area and half bath. Directly upstairs is a sunny loft - surrounded by picture windows exposing breathtaking views of Baron's Creek and beyond. The light in this room is amazing, and it's no wonder it was formerly used by a talented artist as her studio. Several of her colorful paintings are featured in the home. A pull-out couch in the loft provides sleeping for two, and an additional roll-away cot (stored in the closet) can be used for another guest.

The spacious kitchen/dining area is colorfully decorated - with new appliances, a bright blue butcher-block island, soft green cabinets, tin countertops and a long dining table seating 6. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, plates and glasses.

The master bedroom is cozy but spacious - with luxurious linens, a comfortable king size bed, a make-up table, and an adorable window seat. Large windows flank the bed, and feature more beautiful views, but softer light that is filtered through huge overhanging trees - perfect for sleeping-in!

The bathroom sports a handcrafted vanity, shower/tub and skylight - keeping things light and bright. Spa-quality soaps and shampoo are nestled in a basket by the sink.

You won't want to leave this charming refuge, where country meets city, and downtown Fredericksburg is just steps away. We hope to see you soon! - - The McKinneys

Cute and cozy lodging

Such a very cute, warm, and cozy place for a girlfriend’s trip. Place was very clean and spacious. Great neighborhood and minutes away from Fredericksburg downtown. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous Retreat

We used the property for a bachelorette trip in Fredericksburg's wine country. The home was even prettier than the photos and had a romantic vibe. We adored the kitchen area upstairs with the large table and warm-feeling decor. Everything needed was there! I volunteered as tribute to sleep on the pull out couch and was super surprised to find it actually really comfortable with an extra mattress pad and nice bedding. We'd love to stay again! Thank you.

The layout of the place was great. We watched deer playing down by the creek from the bedroom window. Overall was a very peaceful country atmosphere. That's peacefulness however is achieved a stones throw from the heart of main Street. I will stay here again next time

Incredible Experience

Fantastic place to experience all Fredericksburg has to offer. Walk to town no problem! Quick trip to wineries! Best part is you have peace and tranquility while close to the action. Owner is very helpful and responsive. Overall no question 5 stars for me. We will be back for sure.

Wonderful place to stay

Stayed at the Carriage House with my 3 children when we came to Fredericksburg for Oktoberfest and the property is gorgeous! Clean, great location, nice porch with patio lights to drink coffee in the morning or hang out at night, and beautiful view of the creek from the upstairs windows. Just a short walk to Main Street. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Adorable Cottage House!

My husband and I were able to sneak away for a quick weekend. The Carriage house was the perfect place for us! It’s on the beautiful barons creek- very relaxing, quiet and serene. We enjoyed our coffee outside in the morning- such a treat! The house is decorated beautifully and the bed is super comfortable! It’s in a dreamy location- close to town and close to the vineyards as well. Living room, 1/2 bath and bar downstairs. Loft, full kitchen, dining, bedroom and full bath upstairs. A very nice, quiet neighborhood! Hope to visit again soon!

Cute house, great Location

The cottage was just right for our family of four. Clean and had everything we needed. We loved how it was in town but the nearby creek made it feel like we were in the country. Host responded promptly and was easy to communicate with.

We were a little worried because it is above the garage at the rear of the property, but we were quite surprised when we walked in. It was absolutely fantastic and more spacious that we could have imagined. The bed was very comfortable and the view of the creek was perfect!
