Nice place. The decor was very nice, the shower and other areas were nicely appointed. However, I would not advertise it as a BnB because there is no Breakfast. Not only that, there is no way to make your own breakfast. Just a small mircrowave, a coffeemaker, and some cups, a few paper plates and napkins. BUT, no flatware. Not a plastic fork, spoon or knife in sight. The small refrigerator is desperately in need of a defrost. You canât fit anything in the freezer compartment. This place is in the heart of the Hill Country Wine scene and not a plastic cup to drink wine in the place. Just coffee cups. The bed needs some serious inspection. There may be a broken or misplaced slat as when someone gets in one side, the other side flips up. We made do and the owner did bring us some plastic ware after we called.
We stayed for the Memorial day weekend. The cottage was just at the pictures showed. Super cute and nestled behind another house but you wouldnât know. It was too hot outside to check out the spa but definitely wouldâve it the weather was cooler!
We loved this cabin so much, weâre thinking about booking now for next year! Early May was the perfect time to walk, shop, eat & listen to live music in downtown Fredericksburg. While this place is not within walking distance, driving to Main Street took mere minutes & was just secluded enough to make you feel super cozy & comfortable. The salt water hot tub was a huge bonus! The only drawback was the bed was super firm. We both had a lot of trouble sleeping on the mattress. Even with that, we still give this place 5 stars. We love this place!
We loved our stay! The footage was so comfortable and homey and the king size bed was wonderful! We also loved the hot tub and the communication with the owners was amazing! Thank you so much!
Absolute Charm is alleging that the hot tub jets were left on by us, causing damage to the circuit board; automatically charging our credit card 600 and refusing to provide any further assistance when we called to discuss this issue. Prior to our check-out, both myself and my spouse looked the entire property over to ensure that all trash, belongings, etc were picked up and accounted for. We can both say with absolute certainty that the hot tub jets were not running when we left. In fact, when we were using the hot tub the evening prior the jets AUTOMATICALLY turned off on us and we had to restart the timer. As a previous hot tub owner myself, I know that the jets cannot be left on when the tub is not in use, so I am positive that everything was turned off when we went inside for the evening. The 600 charge was immediately applied to our card without a response email from us or even a phone call to inquire about the alleged "damage" caused during our stay. My spouse and I pride ourselves on being considerate guests wherever we stay, and to have this company accuse us of - and charge us for - a âdamageâ that we certainly did not cause is heartbreaking and infuriating. We have tried speaking with the Absolute Charm office staff to dispute this, but they refuse to look into this matter any further.
The property is quaint and offers a decent amount of privacy considering it is on a main road. It is very cute and comfortable. It would be a bit of a walk to downtown, but parking is plentiful and free in Fredericksburg so that isn't much of an issue. Inside the property, space is limited but it is well thought out and doesn't feel cramped. There is a bit of a dip entering the driveway which could cause problems for cars with low clearance. Overall, it was great experience that was over too quickly.
Everything thing we wanted. Easy access. Big comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Enough âkitchen â for our needs. And nothing we didnât want (other people )
