Welcome to the Bear Creek Crossing, a private, picturesque four bedroom, four bath (3 being ensuite) custom rock home on a 235-acre estate sitting above the banks of Bear Creek and overlooking a valley of lush rolling pastures and miles of trails through walnut, cherry and live oak stands. There is nothing better than relaxing with friends and family on the expansive back porch and watching the sunset over the waters of the crystal clear spring-fed lake. The home comfortably sleeps ten with 2 king beds and 3 queen beds.

When the final oranges and reds of the sunset have faded, you will have a decision to make. Do you hit Historic Downtown Fredericksburg just ten minutes away for some fun and winery hopping or do you sit in Adirondack chairs around the firepit at the water's edge with wine or s’mores while you watch ten thousand stars wake up one by one? (Our recommendation, do both!)

Either way, you can have as much fun and be as loud as you want, you won’t wake up the neighbors. While you are here, this is your own personal estate.

Bear Creek Crossing is the perfect place to enjoy the best of both worlds. Gorgeous, relaxing country mornings sipping coffee, watching deer and the occasional exotic play in the meadows across the creek, and your oasis after a day of winery tours and shopping in historic Fredericksburg.

This home has been designed for hosting multi-family, couples, and friends getaways with its open space living concept and expansive dining and kitchen areas. From having a family dinner, catch and release fishing, playing horseshoes or playing pool there is so much to do at our home with your loved ones.

If you are bringing your children, they will never be bored and might sleep for days. While exploring the property if you don't see abundant wildlife, you might need new glasses. Tell the kids to keep their eyes open for Whitetail deer, and possibly the reclusive wild sheep, Axis, and blackbucks. Also be on the lookout for the plentiful ancient fossils that litter the property (please photo but don't take). We were told there are also fossilized dinosaur footprints on the property but the previous owner is gone. If the kids find them again, your stay is free.

We use Happy Guest for a seamless, app-free check-in experience. Just complete your rental agreement, ID verification, and a simple refundable security hold of $1,000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction) to receive your arrival instructions. If you'd prefer, you can opt for a Non-Refundable Damage Waiver instead, which provides coverage up to $1,500. The waiver is $62.54 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.50 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. It’s simple: finish these steps, and you’re all set to enjoy your stay!
