This beachfront home couldnât be more perfect! The beach was pristineâwe loved snorkeling just steps from the âback doorâ. The home is so clean, comfortable, & inviting. Sharifa provided all we needed. House rules/expectations were clearly statedânothing out of the ordinary & not a heavy load on the morning of checkout. We loved the proximity (walking distance) to Rhythms Beach Bar & Grill & to the Prosperity Distillery. Prosperity is a fine establishment w/ exceptional hospitality. They invited us to hunt for chaney on the lovely propertyâwe found many treasures. We ate out but also shopped at local markets to prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Reineâs Chicken Shack was well worth the driveâperfect meal after a few hours wandering the Botanical Gardens (great gift shop there). Frederiksted comes alive on cruise ship days so save your shopping if you want more shops to be open. So glad we spent the majority of our time on SX at this property b/c it made this trip so magical. We had snorkled the reef near Buck Island so we didnât expect to see much on this beachâŠbut we actually met 2 lobsters AND an octopus! They were hiding so our careful & patient observance paid off. Lots of beautiful fish tooâall these creatures living within just yards of the beach! Lastly, wear pants/sleeves & bug spray if youâre spending much time on the beach at night. Thankfully the screened-in porch allows for dreamy (& relatively bug-free) oceanside evenings & mornings!
