Amazing 5-bedroom beachfront home waiting for your getaway, sleeps 16

"Get Kracken" is an awesome newly-remodeled two story, 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath beachfront home with gorgeous ocean views from the large front deck and upper deck off the upstairs bedrooms. Massive beachfront deck with sunny and shaded areas including a picnic table. Enter the home into a large open concept space with living, dining and kitchen area. Comfortable seating for all around a Roku TV with digital antenna for local channels and classic TV shows and movies. Master suite with king bed just off first floor living area. Laundry area near the kitchen with half bath and second fridge for your convenience. At the top of the stairs on the second floor is a bedroom with pyramid bunk and private bathroom, and another bedroom with full size bunk and jack 'n jill bath shared with a beachfront bedroom with queen bed and bunk. Fifth bedroom is a beachfront suite with king bed and private bathroom. Also on the beach side you'll find a sitting room with a day bed that can sleep two. All upstairs beachfront rooms have access to the deck. 

Bottled water for drinking is recommended.

A perfect getaway in Galveston!We were extremely pleased by our stay at Matt's property. The whole place was very clean and it was great distance from the beach.Any questions or concerns we had Matt was very helpful and prompt on responding. Matt even went an extra mile by allowing us a late check out. We left feeling relaxed and recharged, and we are already talking about when we come back we will be booking with Matt. Don't hesitate-book with Matt. You won't regret it!

Right on beach - clean & stocked

This property delivered! Lots of sleeping areas, everyone had a bathroom. Wifi was great. They had plenty of towels, dishes, toilet paper, dish soap... everything we didn't think to bring, so it was perfect. This space was great for a large group looking to hang out on the deck, main area or walk over to beach with path directly to. I will definitely reserve here again!

Beach House vacation

We have rented this property for three consecutive years. We enjoy the close beach access along with the sounds of the waves as we enjoy our beverages on the patio. There is very small crowds due to the fact that we rent it during the week. Planning on our stay again next year.

Another family vacay

My kids meet up once a year at this lovely beach. Infants, toddlers, and a few adults all have a blast. We walk to get ice cream, play games the host has in their closet and make meals in the wonderfully equipped kitchen. The open floor plan is perfect of this home. We arrived a bit before checkin and the cleaning crew was so pleasant. They even offered to carry our bags and help us unload. Such a refreshing vacay! Thank you for sharing your home with us. And
 there are two big fridges !!!

Great location

We have a few minor complaints- no starter trash bags or paper towels. There was also nothing to clean with. I’d have like to have Clorox wipes or something. Or known to bring them. Well stocked kitchen, great communication. Also perfect location and size for us 10. Nothing that would keep us from returning. I know The island has had a rough time. So I’ll chalk it up to Just a few minor things.

The stay was pleasant, weather didn’t cooperate with us but we still made the best of the situation. The home has two balconies where you can just hang out and look out at the gulf. This is our second year we have stayed there.

Great atmosphere.

Great location just off the beach. That allowed us to make trips back and forth easily when any of the kids needed anything. Lots of bathrooms made cleaning up after a day on the beach a breeze. Had one concern when we first got there that was promptly resolved by the property manager.

Great views with a few issues

The property was plenty big for all of us and it was great that we all each had our own bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked great upstairs and on the main floor. The view is absolutely amazing and the beach is right there for easy access. The house could definitely use some updating with more modern faucets, ceiling fans, etc. The doors on the bedrooms to the outside also do not have blinds which leaves your room completely open to the beach at night with the light on. All of this was not a big deal and just minor inconveniences but as someone who really looks at reviews prior to booking a house, I figure I would include it all. The big problem we had WAS COCKROACHES! We saw so many of them. I did message the property manager and they did have someone come out and spray on day 5 of our 7 day stay. The last night there, we found one on our bed so I did not get that much sleep as I kept imagining they were crawling on me. Otherwise we saw them mostly in the kitchen area. All in all, I would possibly stay again but would be hesitant because of the cockroaches. That was a big problem for me and if it wasn’t for the fact we saw them on night 2 and spent so much money on the property, I would have moved houses.

We went on this trip to get away from it all what we encountered was paradise. This has been the best vacation that we have spent while all we did was relax. Having the beach right in your front porch was second to none. Would stay here again as often as possible.

Matt is awesome!

Stayed here for a couple of days this month(Nov 2022). The whole process, right from when the property was reserved to check out was smooth. Matt was super responsive and helped answer any question I had. I would definitely recommend this property

Roomy beachfront house

More than enough space for our big family. Big kitchen and with it being beachfront, lovely views. Easy to get too. One of the bedding was dirty when we arrived, but thankfully there's a washer/dryer and detergent.

Clean and great for multi-family groups

House smelled wonderful when we entered. We loved the layout and the fact each room had its own bathroom. Right on the beach, quiet neighbors. (Water in the house had a weird, yellow tint, but listing says to bring bottled water to drink.)

Great beach views

My family and I enjoyed our stay at “The Kracken” beach house. The view was amazing to wake up to everyday and we loved that we were just a short walk away from the beach. Matt was easy to contact and quick to respond to any messages. Very spacious living/kitchen area; big enough for my whole family of 12. It was only a short drive away from a few restaurants/gas stations and about a 20 minute drive to the Lake Jackson Wal-Mart. Definitely can’t wait to come back again!
