Secluded Oceanfront House with Large Pool and Gardens - Freyers Well Bay

Freyers Well Bay House is a stunning oceanfront Barbadian-style villa offering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Located a 10 min drive north from charming Speightstown, this is the ultimate tropical paradise with dining, supermarkets, and attractions nearby. Relax by your private pool, stroll through the large gardens or head down to the beach - this is the kind of villa where memories are made. The villa, pool, manicured lawns and tropical gardens are privately located on over an acre of land.

Entering the villa, your eyes are immediately drawn to the breathtaking views of the turquoise and deep blue hues of the Caribbean Sea just beyond the pool deck and picturesque coconut palm trees. The dining gazebo overlooks the ocean, and is the perfect spot for sunset dinners with family and friends. There are many areas for sitting, sunning and relaxing around the pool and in the garden. The nearby secluded beach is a short and easy walk from the house.

All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioning, cable televisions and comfortable beds. Both the master and second bedrooms have king size beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds which can also be made into a king size bed if preferred. The master bedroom is located at the end of the hallway and has an en-suite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom. The spacious and open living/dining room is the ideal place to relax and read while enjoying the cool Caribbean breezes throughout the home. The fully equipped modern kitchen is a traveling chef's oasis. For those wishing to enjoy true Bajan delicacies, a local chef is available for hire. The formal indoor dining room seats eight comfortably. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. Freyers Well Bay House is overflowing with charm and comfort. It truly is the perfect villa for your next vacation.

Please note that the caretaker of the house lives on the grounds. If you are looking for a private, secluded, off the beaten track property - this house is for you. Our guests would require a rental car as the property is about 10 mins north of the nearest town (Speightstown) - please exercise caution while driving as the roads in Barbados are not always the best!

The beach is tidal so will be different sizes throughout the year.

Fryers Well Bay House is such a gem. The sunsets/views are incredible. By far the highlight of the home is the back yard/views. We even had a group of monkeys visit us one night! Home is comfortable—kitchen is well equipped, master very private from the other rooms. It's quite remote so a car is necessary, as well as the ability to drive on pretty tricky roads. Don't miss the Animal Flower Cave and restaurant. Also Local & Co and Fishpot for dinner.

Amazing location and property!

Beautiful spot with great sunset views and multiple outdoor areas to enjoy. This home suited us perfectly. The staff was amazing, the pool and beach were great. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking a variety of family meals. Bedrooms and baths were spacious. We even had a monkey visit the front yard on a couple of occasions. Thank you for sharing this home with us!

Simply Amazing

Freyers Well Bay House is an amazing property. It is well-maintained with excellent views. I stayed here with 5 other adults and we found the accommodations to be exactly what we hoped for. There are various outdoor spaces to enjoy and it is only a very short walk down the hill next to the neighbor's house to the beach. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a secluded property with a pool and easy beach access. All bedrooms are air conditioned and there is a nice breeze that flows through the open air sections of the house. It is close to local restaurants, but also has a kitchen for when you just want to stay in and enjoy the views without leaving the property. I would definitely recommend renting a car if you plan to stay here; the roads are fairly easy to navigate.

Perfect holiday villa !!

We stayed at Freyers Bay House for one week and had the most amazing relaxed holiday. The location is perfect, looking over the sea. We barbecued fresh fish, bought form local fishermen each evening. Great vacation home

Our family went down there for a week and loved the accommodations and the property! The gardens and pool are magnificent but the view and sunsets are spectacular! Natasha and William are a delight to have on location and are super helpful. This remote home doesn't have the most dramatic entrance, but you feel part of the culture as you spend time and time again driving through the neighborhood. Everyone is so joyful and welcoming! The bedrooms are all well appointed and air-conditioned and the sitting spaces both inside and especially outside are delightful. We can't wait to have another opportunity to return to this fantastic island and this beautiful retreat!

Wonderful house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Freyers Well Bay House. The pool is beautiful and was warm enough to swim in the evening. The yard is huge and great for kids to run around. There were monkeys! There is a long, beautiful beach with clear water just a few minutes walk away, There was very little seaweed on the beach compared to other beaches we visited. The caretaker and housekeeper were great. You need a car, but this is a great place to stay to visit attractions on the north side of the island. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking but could use a few cereal bowls.

Wow - just Amazing!

Pictures do not do justice to how lovely the villa is. Pool is huge and the whole property is so well maintained. William and Valerie are awesome and we can't thank them enough for all of their help. Valerie was lovely, friendly & full of smiles. William you go above and beyond expectations - cleaning the barbeque etc and are a true credit to the owners of this villa. Honestly no need to rent a car - we saved loads of money by finding a great taxi driver (Ezra of EZB Tours!!). All of our excursions included transport and Ezra was on hand to take us to dinner venues and out shopping etc. We could not have asked for anything more. Taunia at BSL deserves a mention too! Thank you Taunia for all your help organising everything. Rum Tour, Catamaran, Island Tour, Harrison Caves - highly recommended. Bring lots of sunscreen and bug spray. Beaches are beautiful. People are friendly. Roads are a little crazy - again good idea having a taxi driver :) If you get a chance to visit - this is the villa to stay in.

Fryers Well Bay House property is incredibly beautiful. The gardens surrounding the entire property are immaculate and the ocean views are simply breathtaking. It is remote and peaceful. Less than a minute walk is a beautiful small beach thats perfect for swimming, both for small children and adults. The sunsets are indescribable. The swimming pool is big and enjoyable any time of day or night. The beds are comfortable and the showers have the right pressure. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed, including special cups and glasses for the pool area. It was a pleasure having breakfast and dinner by the ocean under the gazebo as well as sitting in the garden lounge area overlooking the sea and sipping on an Aperrolspritz while enjoying and giving thanks for the pleasures of simply being. Early in the morning there are families of monkeys playing in the gardens and picking mangos. The trees have flowers and the grass is the greenest I've ever seen and fluffiest to walk on. William who takes care of the garden is very pleasant and discreet. You will hardly notice he is there. The house keeper is also pleasant and discreet. The driveway is narrow and straight and needs no maneuvering. Even for bigger vehicles there should be no problem. The indoor furniture could be a little more comfortable, although you won't be indoors much, and the children's bedroom with the two beds could have a quieter AC and fan. We cannot ever imagine staying anywhere else in Barbados. Fryers Well Bay House has stolen our hearts. Thank you for hosting us and we look forward to being your guests again in the near future. Two adult Couples rented Freyers Well Bay House-Barbados from February 8-22-2023. Based on pictures, descriptions, and emails with VBRO and BSL rental we have the following comments regarding our experience on site. First the generous ocean property is well laid out, beautiful trees, grassy areas, and a couple of seating options near the ocean cliffs. The online pictures capture only the best angles and do not accurately depict the house or its features, particularly inside layout with bathrooms not directly adjacent to the bedrooms. The road going into the property was steep and in horrendous condition, needs major work done. At the gate was a large pothole, making it difficult to enter / exit the gate area. There was no mention or pictures of all the items in this document or on the website to caution our decision to rent the property! The Driveway is very narrow and to avoid scraping the wall side, woody shrubs on the other side of the drive scratched the side of our vehicle, costing us $500 upon return to the rental agency. An outdoor grill was provided and cleaned by the grounds keeper, who did provide charcoal left over from the last guests. However, there was no lighter fluid; we searched all over the island to buy the lighter fluid, It was not an easy find! We left our fluid for the next guests. Lighter fluid should have been provided. Our major inconvenience & complaint is NO warm/ hot water throughout the house (kitchen and bathrooms) every morning! We approached the grounds keeper who suggested late afternoon or evening showers. He made mention of turning on a booster, but we did not see any improvement in getting anything but cold water. The kitchen was small, but well stocked with dishware and utensils. Note: small black bugs were crawling around everywhere! In the cabinets, refrigerator and on surfaces and dishes. The kitchen’s gas stove burners were too hot to cook on, even on low/simmer, the knobs did not control the flame very well and the burner grates did not provide a level / stable surface for cooking with pots and skillets. . . frustrating! part I of II

The most beautiful place ever!

If you’re considering booking this villa, do it!! Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s in the perfect location if you’re looking to stay outside of the touristic centres. There’s a beautiful beach 5 minutes walk away where locals swim and fish, you can drive into speightstown in 10 minutes and to the nearby fish pot restaurant in 5. There’s a family of monkeys that will pay you a visit from time to time and loads of tiny birds that come in and out of the living area freely. We also saw humpback wales from the terrace one evening! Best place we’ve ever stayed for sure.

Great house with beautiful views all around! Perfect for 2 couples, a family of 5, or even 5 adults. This house is a bit outdated but we loved the private atmosphere and the house is very clean. The backyard is my favorite part of the house. It's breathtaking. Great for pictures! It was nice swimming in the pool overlooking the ocean. You get to watch the sunset everyday while being right in front of the ocean, just amazing views surrounding this entire house. There's a small private beach at the end of the cul-de-sac, just a 1 minute walk from the front of the house. Seeing a family of monkeys visiting the beautiful yard was an exciting moment. The house keeper was very nice. So was the pool guy. They were both there for us whenever we needed anything and did a fabulous job up keeping the house. The shower water pressure is too light for my liking. You are going to need a car for sure. This villa is about a 45 minute drive from Bridgetown and the airport. Make sure you make reservations to go eat at The Fish Pot. There's a town nearby called Speightstown where you can do some local shopping. And visit the beach after to relax. Overall I loved staying in this house and I will come back again. Highly recommend.

Everything you want it to be!

I can’t recommend this Villa, and Blue Skies property managment, enough. From start to finish communication was fantastic helping us get equipment for the baby, and organising transfers and even a chef for the day. No query was too big or small. Fantastic! And the Villa is a slice of heaven, the building is traditional, so not swish and modern, but it feels like a home. Clean, comfortable and all you would need. It’s the grounds though that this villa is all about! WOW FACTOR!! A once in a lifetime to stay somewhere with such a beautiful big private pool, overlooking the ocean, different areas to sit, hammocks, we dined out in the evening and Monkeys would join us for sundowner drinks overlooking the ocean. You need a car but things are only a small drive away, and we really enjoyed going out for a lunch or a beach and then retreating to our private piece of heaven. We would defiantly look to rebook if we were lucky enough to return to Barbados - it’s an amazing find!!

Beautiful Bajan Home

My husband and I were fortunate to spend ten nights at the Freyers Well Bay House. The house sits in a lovely location overlooking the ocean. Beach access is but a few steps away. Each evening a troop of green monkeys played in and scampered through the yard providing quite a bit of entertainment. William and Valerie, the gardener and housekeeper respectively, were friendly and helpful during our stay. The main living area is open air with a fan. The bedrooms are all well-appointed and air conditioned. There is a cat that hangs around the property. He was a little feisty the first day, but soon realized we were friendly after which he became quite snuggly. You will definitely want to rent a car or arrange transportation. We found the Bajan people to be incredibly welcoming and friendly. The country takes COVID precautions seriously requiring masks, temperature checks at entrances and contact tracing throughout the island. We felt very safe and cared for during our visit.

Great villa, fantastic location, staff and management company were amazing and we will be sure to return. A car is a must for this villa due to location but worth every single bit!
