The front porch across the full length of the house makes a great place to sip coffee, relax, and listen to nature. It's unique location allows for retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life! There is a pond only 100 yards away at the top of the hill where some folks like to try their luck at fishing. Just open the gate and walk right up the hill! The pond near the house has developed problems and is not holding water at the usual depth. Still fish in the pond but they are small!
The path behind the cabin leads to a small creek (unless there is a drought) where deer and turkey are often seen; this is also a great place for a nice picnic! For those who enjoy fossil finding and arrow head collecting you will enjoy exploring around the creek banks. There are cows across the road and often see the young calf's running and playing!

*Fort Payne: Alabama Fan Club is 15 miles north oh hwy 11.
*Gadsden: Nocalulla Falls is 20 miles south on I-59.
*Lookout Mountain Little River Canyon, the deepest gorge east of the Mississippi is only 25 miles away.
*Leesburg: Weiss Lake offers boating, fishing, and other water sports and is only 12 miles away.
*Desota State Park is within a 45 minute drive.
