Been to galena in the past, First time staying here, would definitely go back. Staff was nice and helpful, room was clean,quiet and very comfortable. We took the Alpine slide down to take the boat ride on the Mississippi. Highly recommend both ! It's about a 20 minute drive to downtown galena, but the veiw from the hotel is beautiful, and watching the bald eagles and turkey vultchures flying around is amazing. P.S. you see the eagles better from the boat ride.

Quaint and out-of-the-way, very unexpected from what I thought it was going to be like, but in a great way. It felt very secluded (maybe because we drove in at night during a Severe Thunderstorm) and private, which led to the fun and adventure of family vacation! Although the rooms and bathrooms are dated - updated as well as they can be within the footprint of the layout - everything was super clean! My husband even noted how clean the grout was in the bathroom, which is something rarely seen in any hotel! I would love to come back for a longer stay, when there isn’t bad weather and we have more time to spend!

nice resort overall, good parking, amenities and staff service, overall good stay. Great river views from restaurant. outdoor such as side entrances, stairs need updating, very dated and in bad condition in some areas. Would expect from resort like this to be more kept up on the outside as much as it is on the inside.

We met friends at this hotel, went to the Field of Dreams game, and had a nice lunch the next day. They were able to check us in a little early and we appreciated it very much
