Hill Hollow Camp |Stargazing & Covered Porches

Hill Hollow Camp is a mountain getaway in the heart of Potter County — the kind of place where days move a little slower and everyone gathers easily at the end of the night.

More cabin than modern, this welcoming space is made for campfires, morning coffee on the covered porch, outdoor adventures, and quality time together. A property that’s warm, relaxed, and full of the simple charm people come to Potter County for.

The home sleeps up to 11 guests across 3 bedrooms:
• Main-floor king bedroom
• Basement queen bedroom
• Basement bunk room with a queen bed, double-over-double bunk beds, and a twin trundle

The full kitchen is stocked for gathering and easy meals, complete with a Keurig coffee maker and electric range. Main-floor laundry adds convenience for longer stays and outdoor adventures.

Outside, guests can relax in comfortable poly furniture on the covered porches, fire up the Blackstone for breakfast, or grill dinner on the gas grill after a day exploring the area.

Potter County is known for its quiet beauty, endless woods, and some of the darkest night skies on the East Coast. After sunset, the stars put on a show here — deep inky skies, bright constellations, and peaceful nights around the fire. Cherry Springs State Park, famous for stargazing and night photography, is an easy 20 minute drive away and makes for a memorable evening under the stars.

Whether you're visiting for the trails, hunting, fishing, ATV riding, fall colors, or simply the quiet mountain setting, Hill Hollow Camp is an easy place to settle in and feel at home.

It was a very nice rustic cabin. We had a little trouble with the Wi-Fi, but as soon as we contacted the house, we figured out the problem and solved it. The views were quite lovely from there. We had excellent view of the sky.

Wonderfully quiet and tucked away with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weekend! Grill and flattop. Coffee maker and Keurig. Plenty of space and beds. Fire pit was great. Couldn’t think of anything else we needed except a few more days of of work!

This is a beautiful, well-laid out house! It has everything that we needed: plenty of beds and lots of room for our family of 6. And when I say lots of room, I really mean it. It had a huge kitchen and dining room. Big family room. The bedrooms where large. Even the laundry area. No where felt cramped at all, which was nice. The kitchen was well stocked and there were some games to play in the family room. The location was also perfect for us. While the property itself is secluded and quiet, it's close to Cherry Springs State Park as well as the PA Grand Canyon. We also took a day trip up to the Watkins Glen and Ithaca areas of New York. There were only two faults we found with the property. There are an insane number of insects that we had to kill. I'm not sure if it hadn't been rented in awhile or what, but there were spiders and beetles and moths and who knows what everywhere (beyond what is normal for a house in a forest). Nothing dangerous, but it was very anxiety-inducing for my wife who has a bit of a phobia about bugs. The other item was the hot water. It was hit or miss. Sometimes during a shower it would completely cut out for a second or two. Also, it was completely out the one night we came back from hiking all day, which meant a sponge bath in cold water.
