Great Location, bad experience
Great location and nice layout. Worst problems was roaches. The place was infested. They offered to send an exterminator but we had children and infants so that was no possible. We ended up having to leave. Needed a diagram or some sort of markings to know where the light switches were and one of the thermostats was marked "alarm" and was difficult to figure out. The gas grill was so dirty with grease, it was unusable and the oven vent filter looked like it had never been cleaned. One of the downstairs rooms was freezing and the other was hot.....need better regulation of air. Probably would have been better if someone had "checked" the place, but it was apparent that it had not been. Basically ruined a long planned family vacation!

Holiday House - Kahala Beach
This is the second time my family has stayed at this house in the past three years. The house is in a wonderful location and offers quite a bit of space for 5-6 people. We have had issues with the cleanliness of the house upon arrival both times we stayed, but property management was very responsive. The house definitely needs some love/attention - especially with the kitchen appliances. They all "work", but should probably be replaced soon. Burners in the kitchen burn very hot, even on low setting. The microwave door/handle is broken. But, overall, the Holiday House has served our family well during our stays there. You cannot beat the location and it's a nice, relaxing environment.

Though the property was priced low considering the surrounding area the overall condition of the property was poor! Missing cabinet doors in the kitchen, missing screen doors on 2 of the three sliding doors, stains on the ceilings and carpets, poorly patched holes in walls, water bugs, doors to decks rusted closed, window blinds that were broken and terrible road noise for a house they are trying to sell for 680K!

Mosquitos
The house was nice and spacious specially the master bredroom. We had many little things around the house especially the kitchen that didnt work. We had a hard time opening the microwave and 2 kitchen door cabinets were not working . The recliner didnt work. MOSQUITOS!!!!!! The mosquitos were not insde, but outside. We couldnt enjoy the outside patios at all because of all the mosquitos in that neighborhood. I dont know if it was because of the time we went in october or it is always like this but these mosquitos were HUGE! We had to run everytine we arrived to house to getvin beacuse it was so terrible with so many mosquitos.

Bug infested and uncleaned. Stay away!
We initially thought the place was relatively clean, but found that 2 of 3 bathrooms smelled like someone had just taken a dump in them and the other had unflushed stuff in it. The floors hadn’t been swept, I stepped on someone’s toenail in the carpet. Half of the lights wouldn’t even turn on, and a few wouldn’t turn off. Worst, we counted about fifty bugs that had been breeding throughout the master suite. They were in the hallway, the on the walls, on the doors, on our medicine, and in the bed (unfortunately, we’d squished them in our sleep). I even found one on my shirt was we were rushing out to get as far away from this nightmare house as possible.

The property was not up to the description. All exterior doors needed to be opened by a large adult. They were all stuck and Very hard to open. The main TV had no volume. The kitchen and dining area had little or no lights. The lights and fans did not operate properly. The ice maker and ice delivery system were not functional. Every drawer and shelf In the doors in the refrigerator were broken. There were no dish towels or pot holders. No sauce pans over 10” for a party of 12. There were exactly 12 bath towels for 12 guests with no extras. The house was reasonable clean but had no outside chairs except for 2. No way to enjoy outside the house. I would not lease again.

Great getaway
Great location for a relaxing weekend away. 2 mins walk and you’re on a beach with few other families. Easy to fish, play games and hang out. House was a great setup for spending time together. Only downsides were I sent a couple messages to the property manager to request early check in and never heard back and a couple of the lights in the house wouldn’t turn on. Would definitely recommend and we will likely come back!
