The Yellow Cottage in Yellowstone

UPDATE: The north entrance road from Gardiner to Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park will open on October 15, 2022. Reservations are currently being taken for the Summer of 2023. Restrictions may apply to oversized vehicles.

Come enjoy our fully furnished unit with all the comforts of home. Includes fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with sofa sleeper, two bedrooms each with a queen bed, two full baths and laundry room. Each bedroom has wall mounted television. Conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, gift shops and grocery store. Happy to accommodate special requests. Three-night minimum stay (unless opening in calendar is fewer nights). All guests welcome.

Family friendly 1,200 s.f. unit has a living room with propane fireplace. After a hard day touring you can relax in the recliner, sofa (w/sofa bed) or chair with ottoman. Kitchen is complete with full size appliances including side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with water/ice dispenser, flat cooktop and range, over the range microwave and dishwasher. Coffee maker, toaster and all dishware also included. Dining room table seats 6. There are two barstools at a small bar for additional seating. Master bedroom has queen sized bed and on suite bath with glass enclosed shower (hairdryers supplied). Second bath has tub/shower combo. Second bedroom has one queen bed. Private laundry room has oversize washer/dryer with iron and ironing board. All bedding and bath towels provided. Port-a-crib, highchair, swing and stroller available upon request. Please note the 1/2 wall around the basement stairwell. Children should be supervised as wild animals (deer, elk, bison) may be in the front yard. Back yard is beautifully landscaped and is completely fenced.

Guests are required to sign a contract prior to their stay and are responsible for all damages to the property.

Home offers two off-street parking spaces in driveway. Back patio is shaded by a large wooden pergola. Patio has a wooden glider, two chairs and small table, and bbq grill. Beautifully landscaped with mountain views.

My family is very social, however, we respect our guests privacy. We will be available 24/7 to care for any needs or special requests. We are always willing to be social and share information about the area.

Perfect stay in Gardiner! The cottage is cozy, well maintained, and very clean. The beds are comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. Elk and deer are in the front yard most evenings. The Yellowstone entrance is only a couple minutes away.JoLynn is the best host ever. She's very thoughtful and responsive. When we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly welcome message, fresh brownies, and cool drinks. It was exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling, and it set the tone for a wonderful Yellowstone vacation. Thank you, JoLynn!

The Yellow Cottage was very clean and in a great location to access the North Entrance to Yellowstone. Grocery store, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance. We saw elk, deer, and bunnies in the yard almost every morning and evening. Everything we needed was available. Jolynn quickly responded to all of our questions. We would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Yellowstone and the Gardiner area.

Perfect Location for a YNP Trip

The cottage was clean and well kept inside and out. It was evident the time and effort JoLynn puts into maintaining the property. The snacks and sweet treat were a bonus to an already wonderful home. The cottage is minutes from the north entrance but on a quiet street away from the restaurants and bars. We look forward to coming back soon.

Excellent accommodation - clean, comfortable, welcoming

Great location in Gardiner at the North entrance to the Park. This beautiful yellow cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The owners have attended to every detail and nothing is missing. Everything works and it is convenient for Gardiner's general store, filling station, and many bars, pubs and grills. Try the Antler Pub and Grill across the road for atmosphere and reasonable prices. We stayed three nights and recommend this little gem.

Close location to stores within walking distance. The property was very nice and comfortable, very clean and the area outside was well taken care of. Lovely back yard area ,very relaxing. We would definitely stay here againagain.

Great house and location

This house had everything we needed. We could even use the garage to secure my Harley instead of securing it each day in our trailer. Its located less a mile from the north entrance to Yellowstone Park. Highly recommend renting this house.

Home-Away-From-Home home-base for Yellowstone NP

This cottage was very clean and very comfortable. It was well-stocked and had everything we needed. Kitchen utensils, tools and pots/pans were all in great condition. We enjoyed seeing a a few elk in the yard during our stay. Communication with the property manager was fast and responsive. We absolutely loved Yellowstone and hope to be back one day!

Perfect Stay

The house is extremely clean and well stocked with everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. The freshly baked “Welcome” brownies and elk visiting the yard every morning and every night are extra bonuses. We would definitely rent again!

Best place in Gardiner!

Location is outstanding! Secluded enough, but you can walk to The Corral restaurant and the grocery store. The owners are extremely attentive and even baked brownies for our arrival, a lovely touch! Place was very clean, comfortable and had a great and private back patio. Elks and baby elk arrived in the back on multiple mornings and even ate grass 7ft outside the front door! The kids were amazed. Can’t imagine finding a better place in Gardiner! Highly recommend.

Amazing beautiful home in quiet neighborhood

We absolutely loved this house. We have stayed at many VRBO in the past and this far surpasses any. From the fresh warm brownies when we walked in the front door , to special requests for picnic in the park chairs and a table lamp..things just magically appeared. Awesome hosts with the most! The furniture was luxurious, the back patio and gardens amazing. We did the Yellowstone hot spring on our hosts suggestion, best morning ever. Hot springs surrounded by mountains. Elk visiting us, momma deer and her twins in our yard and we could walk to town for dinner. If I could give this home 6 stars I would. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beyond a doubt this is best overall experience we have had with rental properties in the last twenty years. The location was perfect for the park and fly fishing. We saw more elk and mule deer in our yard then in the park. The owners were great to work with. A perfect property that was stocked with everything we needed. There was a grocery store close to the house if you forgot anything. Will book this house again the next time we are in Yellowstone.

JoLynn was a fabulous host with a fabulous home, Everything you could imagine was provided for our stay. Close to town so we got to do our walks and so close to Yellowstone park. We will definitely book this home again if we go back there. It was like home away from home and clean, comfortable and all around perfect. Northern Yellowstone visit

This was by far the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. JoLynn provides extra touches that make you feel like family. From the handwritten welcome note to the fresh baked brownies! Communication was excellent. House was exactly as the listing states. If we ever find ourselves in Gardiner again, we will definitely stay here again!

Amazing Place to Stay!

JoLynn and Patrick offered the perfect home to return to and relax after a busy day at Yellowstone! We loved the cleanliness, location, and the back patio. The kitchen was well-stocked and I could tell this home is maintained with excellence. JoLynn is quick to respond and is so helpful with info about the area. I heartedly recommend staying here. It is one of the best we have had the pleasure to visit!

Perfect vacation turns challenging

All praises for the Yellow Cottage and the hosts are true and accurate. There are absolutely no negative comments from us. We had the unique and historic experience of being in Gardiner when Yellowstone River flooded, and washed out roads in and out of Gardiner. We were scheduled to leave so being isolated brought some anxious thoughts. Thanks to JoLynn for constant communication and information about the situation. At all times we felt safe, and we were so comfortable in the house. Our hopes and prayers are that others can experience this ideal location in the future.

Wonderful Home!

Beautiful Yellow Cottage

Excellent, warm and inviting host who left delicious brownies at checkin. The brownies were much needed after a long travel =). The cottage is very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We saw elks in the back during our stay. The back patio has grill and patio furnitures excellent for a relaxing break, though we did not get to use (spent much of our time at the park). Excellent location when visiting Yellowstone and groceries and restaurants are within walking distance. Definitely will come back when we visit Yellowstone again.
