Perfect apt in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

This spacious apartment in delightful Garmisch-Partenkirchen worked so well for our family! It is perfectly-located & we were able to park our rental car & walk around to anything we needed or wanted. A grocery store was w/in a few minutes walk as well as restaurants & shopping. Our host Uwe went above and beyond, sending us a video of how to find our parking spot (directly behind apartment), walked us around the apartment, showed us how to use the espresso/coffee machine, and provided us with local transportation passes once city tax had been paid (w/ a treat!). The apartment is well-appointed with a washing machine (we did not use the dryer), two full & spacious bathrooms, a large family room w/ comfortable sofas, spacious rooms, and a great kitchen & sun room. There are stairs to the apartment, so if stairs are an issue, that is something to keep in mind. Uwe helped us with our bags up the stairs as well! There was no a/c, but we found that to be common and we were fine w/o it. We did sleep with windows open, and I would recommend ear covers or sound machine to minimize the noise from outside should you open the windows & are a light sleeper. The caretakers of the promenade outside are up early. You are right on the main retail/restaurant area of Garmisch, so it's to be expected to have some pedestrian noise outside as well, but it was fairly minimal. Uwe was a great host and we would 100% stay there again!

Great stay.

Perfect location! This large well equipped house was perfect for our family group of 7 adults. The owner was super easy to work with and responded immediately to any questions we had. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in central Garmish. 10/10.
