great property! Staff were super nice and helped us book our full day excursion to the pigs, sharks, sandbar, and more. Having the splash bar restaurant on site was great to come back and end the day conviently and uniquely for dinner. beach side cottage was great, although we only had a partial ocean view and if I were to book again I might choose the more affordable cottages on the other side of the street.

This is a lovely group of modestly priced little cottages by the bay. Easy kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling provided. Plan to eat and drink away from the bar (Splash) because they really water down their drinks. The food there is “ok,” but there’s better offerings within a few minutes drive.

When a tour is booked there should always be a room number or a number provided for communication. There is no service between 8pm to 8am so there should not be anything booked between those times if there is no one to reach out to you in your room in case of miscommunication.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hideaways. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you don’t feel like going anywhere else there is a nice beach and restaurant right on the property. Hideaways is also fairly centrally located on the island of Exuma so if you want to go exploring it’s easy to do so in either direction. We had an island view room which was very spacious and quiet but they have beach bungalows that I want to stay in on our next visit. Can’t wait to go back!!

We were told it was Beach front accommodations, when booking this vacation, It was NOT we were 1/4 mile off beach up a hill We were very disappointed, asked the staff if we could up grade No because we booked thru Expedia , and manager was shocked when we told her we left.

Check in was easy. Staff were friendly friendly! Property was an excellent surprise .. We had a little bungulo with cold ac, warm water, refrigerator and clean. Beach and pool was easily accessible and water was clear. Close to downtown for ferry to chit and chat. It was a quiet and relaxing time. The restaurants serve good food and very convenient.

The bed gave me bruises by sleeping in it. No amount of alcohol could have made me able to sleep on this slab of concrete. Also I was not told that I wasn't staying on the beach.. and there was an woman at splash that just didn't like life and it showed.

We can't say enough good things about our stay at Hideaways! I was concerned that I picked the right island, and the right resort for our first time in the Caribbean. If we had to do it all over again, we would gladly pick Hideaways in Exuma for sure. We loved the free shuttle into town, the two great beaches within walking distance, the pool, onsite restaurant, along with others within walking distance. The staff is so welcoming, and helpful. There are so many other perks like free kayaks, swim fins beach towels... We love to snorkel, and the beach right in front the resort has a row of huge rocks that the fish and turtles love. Gorgeous!!!
