Historic Civil War house, great for family getaways.

This charming Civil War era house first floor apartment is located in historic downtown Gettysburg. The apartment has been restored, with two bedrooms (queen beds), so the house can sleep 4 .The bathroom has a tub with shower. In addition there is a fully fitted kitchen, dining room, reading room, and parlor. There is central a/c throughout. At the rear of the house is a secluded garden and parking.
The apartment is ideal for 4 people You can walk to most of the shops and restaurants. The National Military Park (Battlefield) is two minutes walk away. Paranormal investigators might enjoy their experience here as well!
The second floor has two bedrooms living room dining room and fully equipped kitchen The whole house can be rented for larger families

Perfect location and beautiful home

This house was absolutely beautiful. It is extremely clean and comfortable. It is perfectly located so that you can walk to just about every attraction. Also surprisingly quiet. We had upstairs neighbors and nightly concerts right up the street, but from inside we never heard a peep! It was absolutely wonderful!

Exactly what you want for an historic stay

Property is ideally located. Plenty of shops and restaurants a short walk away. The main Gettysburg historic park is a close bike ride away. The privacy fence for the back yard provides a great place to put bicycles without fear of them disappearing. The space itself is large for a 2 bedroom and also has a large dining room table which was perfect for our large board gaming.

Historic place and great location

This place was in a great location. Could walk to most places in town that we wanted to. Very spacious for my family of 4. The pics don't do it justice as far as the space. Loves the hardwood floors and built in cabinets. It was very clean also.

We had a great stay in this beautiful Civil War house. A perfect location and short walk for just about everything, whether it's in town or on the battlefield. Clean, Comfortable, Great Location!

This property was larger than expected, and super clean. It was by far the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in. The beds are comfortable. The living room and dining room area are very spacious. The location is perfect. We walked pretty much everywhere, except for our tour of the battlefields. There are lots of shops and great dining options all within walking distance. The owner has a binder full of options/suggestions for eating and touring. This was so helpful because we always want to know the locations the locals frequent. We tried many of the suggestions and all were fabulous! This will be our first option when we come back to the area!

fantastic girls weekend

this property is everything and MORE. absolutely stunning property. the location couldn’t be any better for all things Gettysburg. The only issue we had was the front door is exceptionally old and difficult to lock. we are planning on coming back and staying again in Spring. love love love would not recommend for small kids as some of the furniture is antique.

It was exciting to stay at the Stahle house! We enjoyed the beauty of the home and it was immaculately clean. We had no issues or surprises. The only thing is that the listing showed there was a pull out bed and sleeps 6, which ended up only being 2 beds and slept 4. Some of our family had to stay elsewhere, but it was big enough to enjoy a family dinner together. We really enjoyed our time in the home Thank you so much!

Great Centrally Located Home

We had a great experience renting from Tessa. The home was historic, charming, and clean. We were able to have additional family rent out the upstairs unit so we essentially had the whole home to ourselves. The house was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful time walking around exploring the area. We’d love to book again and highly recommend this rental.
