We created this apartment as a place of relaxation for ourselves. We are proud to share with you

Burgstraat 17 is an old Patrician house constructed in 1515. Later the house was split into 2 houses and became neglected for many years. In 2019 we started the renovation, with as only purpose, to keep the soul and respect the history and grandeur of the original house. Its exceptional history, unique architecture and central position made it worth doing so. Tears, joy and a lot of work in the place where you are right now. We hope you enjoy and respect this place as much as we do. We believe that the energy of a house gives a consistent habit of all energies that this house received in the past and…. will receive in the future.

The last thing I want to do with over hype a property and have it not meet your expectations. Regardless, I'm going to do it anyway. This is hands down the best rental I have ever stayed. It was extremely clean, well laid out, and everything was high quality. The location where Steps Away from everything, you cannot ask for a better place to stay in Ghent.

Great accommodation in a beautiful city. The location of the property is superb and the amenities in the apartment are fantastic. One small issue with connecting to some of the appliances but this was sorted with speed from the property owner. Highly recommend the property and the city. A fabulous few days. Lovely property in fantastic location

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is on two levels and is really large. It has been fitted out to a high standard and is equipped with everything you could want. It is perfectly located for mediaeval Ghent and you can even see the castle and old church from the apartment. The host Peter is easily contactable and was very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend.

Fabulous Spacious Apartment

Apartment was huge! Larger than it looked in the pictures. Very luxurious and relaxing place to stay. A short walk to all the main attractions of Ghent. Very quiet despite proximity to centre. Contacted the owner about a small issue, reply was swift and resolved issue immediately. Would definitely return.

Bright, Spacious, and Beautiful Apartment

We were extremely pleased with our stay in this apartment. We stayed for four nights with the original intention of using the apartment as a base and visiting Bruges and Antwerp, but we loved this city so much that we decided to spend the entire time there and do not regret it. Ghent is a magical city with many beautiful historical buildings, but it also has more modern areas as it is a college town. This apartment fit right in as it included many modern features yet retained the integrity of an old Patrician house. The apartment is all set up with “smart” features, and there is an iPad that can be used to control them if desired, but not necessary. We listened to iTunes through the Bluetooth speakers and streamed Netflix and Apple Tv on the large screen TV. The kitchen is bright and modern. We really liked the modern stovetop and appliances. There is also a nice outdoor terrace with a sitting area. There is a downstairs half bath and a large bathroom upstairs with a big glass shower. Every room has its own unique features which are all great but overall, the apartment is spacious, bright, clean and a just very nice place to stay. The owner was very responsive and helpful when we had questions which we really appreciated. I don’t think the pictures can really capture how nice this place is. The location is excellent. The tram is just down the street, and there are many restaurants right in the neighborhood. We highly recommend!

Magnifique

Nous avons passé un séjour magique. L’appartement est idéalement situé dans le centre historique de Gand. Il est très lumineux, propre et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Les communications avec le propriétaire étaient simples et rapide. Toutes nos demandes ont été satisfaites très rapidement.

Amazing Space in Ghent!

We only stayed for one night but immediately upon walking through the door we wished we were staying longer. The space is comfortable and inviting. Our hosts were very communicative and let us drop off our luggage prior to check-in! The home is modern and has many amenities. It is also in a fantastic location near the city center. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family. 10/10 experience!

6 nights in Ghent

The location of this property is perfect! Two blocks to the castle and lots of shops and places to eat. Our favorite dining place was next door! Bedrooms are upstairs with a steep staircase with no handrail. I would not recommend for anyone with walking difficulty, especially since suitcases must be carried upstairs. Comfortable sofa and very modern kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay very much.

My wife and I stayed at the apartment for four nights. The apartment is large and is as described in the listing. It is convenient to the tram, castle, historic sights, information center, restaurants and a grocery store. We had a problem with the shower drain and texted the owner in the morning. The issue was fixed by the time we returned in the afternoon. A small problem was that I kept getting dropped from the internet.

Perfect Ghent location!

A wonderful base to explore Ghent and Brugge! It was nice to have a private outdoor terrace to enjoy the great weather. There are some steep interior stairs some may find difficult. I would highly recommend staying with Peter.

Moderne Ferienwohnung in zentraler Lage

Die moderne Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einem alten Bürgerhaus ca. 50m vom Gravensteen entfernt. Sie ist perfekt ausgestattet und bietet einen idealen Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung von Gent und Umgebung. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war ausgezeichnet. Es wird sehr genau darauf geachtet, dass es den Gästen an nichts fehlt.
