Location is amazing. Staff was great. Rooms are unfortunately small, stuffy, lack ventilation and are quite outdated. I had broken light switches and a lot of dirt and dust visible while in the shower. But love the ease of access everywhere onsite

We had a number of staff stay there this past week for a conference near by. We received many complaints. They didn’t service my room even though i pressed the service button in the morning. Out of x 4 nights it was serviced once. They didn’t give any replacements of anything except a soap bar, rubbish bins weren’t emptied… Concierge team were wonderful... we wanted a meeting room for 1.5 hours and they wanted to charge $700 which was apparently half price - yet there were no people anywhere near any of the meeting rooms… even the ironing board was broken... The CEO did not appreciate the entrance roof view on the non-sea side of Level 6. When something was left in the room after check out - wasn't allowed to retrieve it, had to send someone back there hours later only. We do many conferences across the world and send staff to many places... We were told by our CEO..... Frankly never want to stay there again please

Considering this is a 5 star hotel it was very disappointing. The staff were not very polite. The check in was poor with no explanation on anything just handed the keys. The room service food wasn’t cooked properly. The parking situation is terrible and staff rude when asking regarding tickets. There should be allocated spots for guests instead drove around for 30mins trying to find a carpark. Very disappointing.

No explanation of parking sat in line up to be told to just go underneath then come up to check in, when you come in to check in there’s no signage I where check in is At checkin asked for ID for checkin , again none of this was explained when booked luckily I had ID in phone. Just poorly done for what should be a 5 star hotel and expensive

The Star Hotel delivers exactly what its name suggests - a polished experience with warm service and a touch of luxury. Rooms are clean, spacious, and well-appointed, while the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Room was great. Dining was great. Casino was great. Only negative was that the parking has a low limit for big cars so that took us a while to work out but the concierge helped us out. And even though you’ve paid a lot for the room then you get stung with $20 for parking. Other than that it was a lovely weekend
