Deep water. LOW WAKE cove off of main channel/skiing area. Exceptional for fishing and SAFE for swimming. Bring your boat or rent one and tie up at our dock. Enjoy our 2 splash pads & 2 kayaks. Relax by fire pit. Washer/Dryer.
Free Wifi, Small, Charcoal Grill, 2 car-Garage, 2 Flat Screen TV's/DVD/Blu-ray player, Fully stocked (just bring food and toiletries), recently renovated, BRAND new beds, linens, towels & blankets.

Beautiful house with gorgeous views!! House is roomy and was comfortable for 8 of us. Well-stocked kitchen and comfy beds, quality bath towels, several cozy throws in the living area. My teens loved the kayaks. Host was friendly and responsive. Great place to stay!

Our family had a great time together at this lake house. Awesome quiet location. The house had everything we needed. Kids enjoyed the kayaks. Fire pit was great also. Great hiking spots a few minutes away at Fern Cliff State Park.

Beautiful home on the inside with amazing view!

Absolutely love the house on the inside and such an amazing kitchen. Very clean on the inside. The only negative would be outside. The deck needs improvement as well as the steps leading down to the water. The dock is absolutely perfect! Easy check-in and easy checkout.

Excellent for living the lake life!

This house was perfect for our family get-away with friends. It was exactly as described, check in was easy & Laura was very quick to respond to all messages - before & during our stay. This house was probably the cleanest rental I've ever stayed in. Plenty of towels, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher tablets, etc. The location on the lake (in a little cove) gave us calm waters and a natural limit for the kids to kayak. Like any house, there's a few quirky features but nothing that detracts from the quality.

Had an issue this year with the right boat slip where it previously had a lift. On the right side it had a piece of metal that did significant damage to the boat, scratching and gouging the side. High water at the beginning of the week did not help and probably contributed to the problem.Strongly suggest removing the metal from the side of the dock and block off immediately.

Family Thanksgiving

The house was very clean. Linens were in great shape! Towels were amazing. We loved the basket of blankets/throws. The small pool table was a huge hit! Everyone played at some point of our visit. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc. We wished the weather had been warmer so we could have used the outdoor space. Lake view was beautiful & relaxing. We would rent again if we are meeting in Southern Illinois. Our group came from NW Indiana, Chicago and Atlanta.

Long weekend in Shawnee

Great house, private location on Lake of Egypt. Beautiful setting. Very spacious, very clean. Host was very accommodating and very responsive. Great communications. All in all a good value. Just wish we had caught more fish....;)

Had a great stay

We’ve stayed at a variety of houses along Lake of Egypt over the years and this was easily one of our favorite stays. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5. Nicely remodeled and very clean. Will definitely stay again. Only complaint is they need to upgrade the grill. They did such a nice job with the house, but clearly skimmed on the cheap charcoal grill, which was filthy.
