Liked nothing the bathroom was like a bird watch and freezing cold. There were no facilities at all in the main room not even a kettle. Everything was in an outside
Area open to the elements on one side.. we hostel stayed all around Tasmania and never had a place so deplorable.
It was a room with basic bed and outside shower and toilet. first place I have ever stayed in the world that did not have tea or coffee or kettle in the room. Probably the most expensive nights sleep. The out of room facilities were adequate, You need to take everything you need in the way of food and water as there is limited places to eat after 5 pm.
I came to this place around 7 PM.No one met me there. The key was pinned to a board with a note. I had trouble locating my room. It was + 10 in Celsius outside and the room was cold. It had a small heater which turned itself off every half an hour and was not enough to heat up the room. The inside temperature stayed at the same level as outside at around + 10 degrees Celsius. The private toilet actually was at the open balcony. As well as shower. So at 10 degrees Celsius you could hardly use any of those. The communal kitchen was horrible andâ dirty. It was cold and without light. The kettle I tried to boil water in was dirty and had the horrible smell. I couldn't eventually use it. The next morning I left the cold room which was visited at night by wild animals who pooped everywhere and made the toilet unusable. I stopped my payment for this accommodation on my credit card. This property should be delisted. Avoid it.
Great farm setting, excellent shared kitchen facilities including campfire sitting area.
Room was lovely and clean, unique bathroom set up with views over farmland. We stayed in a lodge room, which was pretty noisy in the morning as it is on wooden floors and people were leaving early - but other than that, a terrific place. Recommend a night walk to spot possums, wallabies and roos.
Very close to Flinders Chase national park, so a great base for Western K.I.
The farm stay was almost like glamping. The common kitchen / dining area was camp style. Rooms were very comfortable with an "outside" enclosed bath / toilet area - which meant cold weather in the mornings.
A very short drive to remarkable Rocks and Admiral arch
Really pleased with almost everything. Only request is for something to label food with as we lost our milk to a tour group, despite being in a different fridge to their food. And being in the bottom of the fridge door with our container of chopped salad...
We got there by 6pm and found out that there is no actual reception. One pin up board where one will find room key. So there is a mobile number given in a instruction document. It was said to contact a manager if we run into amy trouble.
I left some stuff in the room and went to car to get other stuff. Obviously locked the room and found on my return that i am locked out. Room key provided would not work. Called the manager, went to voicemail straight. She did not called back in 15 minutes, so i went back virtual reception area to get some help. Even though it was written on door that "private property do not disturb, this is not a reception", I knocked on the door. Nice lady answered and tried to help me open my door, didn't work. Bytheway manager didn't get back to me yet. Manager sent one of the worker to help me open the door, she could not work it out. By now it was obvious that only master key could work in this situation. So manager came after 45 minutes of my leaving a voicemail.
First thing she said was, I have 2 kids unattended at home so need to get out of here quickly. She used lubricant spray still key didn't work. She said most of the rooms around are not lockable from outside, nobudy will touch my stuff. She also mentioned that just because I am from city I was putting more emphasis on door key to work. ZERO customer service. She offered me full refund if I were to leave and find other place to stay. Really!!! Take insurance first if staying here.
This is a basic, rustic, charming place to stay. Keep in mind there are no shops nearby so you will need to stock up before you go. Close to National Park.
We only stayed here because the hotel was booked out and accomodation in this area is soooo hard to find. The location of the cabins is excellent - just outside the National Park. The cabin is small (expected) and very basic (expected) but we arrived in a cold week in October and the small heater wasn't really up to the task. Some of the kitchen equipment could have been better (The teatowel looked like a dirty floor cloth) and there was no hot water. There is a 30 metre walk to the loo/showers. If you need to go in the night you will certainly meet kangaroos, wallabies and possums (For me, this counts as a plus point!) We had problems locking the cabin door. On arrival, the farm manager wasn't around but detailed instructions were pinned on a board at reception, along with a phone number. However, most cell phones don't have any signal here (I think Telstra is the exception) So overall, good and bad, but I couldn't in all honesty recommend to others.
Als Zwischenstopp gebucht. Gute Lage fĂŒr fast alle AusflĂŒge wie zum Beispiel Flinders Chase Nationalpark, Kelly Hill Caves usw.! Gemeinsame sanitĂ€re Anlagen, eigene KĂŒche in der rustikalen HolzhĂŒtte, BadetĂŒcher wurden gestellt, sehr nette Gastgeber.
Very different experience staying on a farm. Had to walk to the bathroom but there were cooking facilities in our cabin. Tammar Wallabies came each night to hop around; blue wrens and other birds abounded. There was a common area where we chatted to the young people staying in the hostel part.
