The location is the most perfect location I have ever stayed in! It's right next to the bus/coach station (direct to and from the airport for £12 each way), inside the train station, across the way from the trams, across the way from a shopping mall and a 100 food and convenience stores within arms reach! The room was also really nice, lobby was lovely, breakfast was amazing, staff really friendly! I would 100% recommend this hotel!

Big wrap for the staff at the Hyatt Place from check-in to breakfast to check-out and if I’m back in Gothenburg I will stay here again. Rooms great for a short stay ( or longer) as well.

If you are coming into the city by either train or bus, the hotel's location cannot be beat as it is attached to Gothenburg's Central Station and they offer luggage storage if you arrive before check-in. My room was a bit smaller than other Hyatt Place hotels I have stayed in on the western side of the Atlantic, but this hotel is all about the convenience of its location as food, shops, pharmacy, and transportation are all found within Central Station although downtown Gothenburg is quite walkable. The desk staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. This isn't a 5-star luxury hotel, but it has everything the casual traveler needs. I would stay here again.

My stay at Hyatt Place was fantastic. Simon, Elvira, and the entire team were outstanding. When my flight was rescheduled and I requested an extension, they had no family rooms available—yet Simon went out of his way to secure an alternative room for us. It was hands-down my best hotel experience. Everyone I met in Sweden was incredibly helpful, and it’s a bonus that they all speak excellent English.

Swedish Bonus

A perfect place for exploring Gothenburg. The hotel was European modern, perfectly quiet and cocooned, despite being located over the train station. An excellent buffet breakfast. Rooms slightly on the small side.

Easy stay for the station

Hotel is built into the train station so plenty of easy food to grab, you need to walk a little further for anything more substantial. Decent location for the city. The lobby was nice, efficient staff, good breakfast but the room was a disappointment. Stained bed head, dubious looking stains on the mattress, bathroom was a little tired & depressing looking. It’s fine but doesn’t reflect its advertising or first impression.
