I booked this stay based on the hotel amenities and the accommodations, i prepaid for the stay, filled out all of the required documents as asked. I was two or three text messages a day prior to my arrival but when i arrived i was told there would not ba any rooms due to renovations and the 20% discount at their steakhouse was a joke because it too was closed. I was told my reservation was moved to the okd Holiday Inn and those accommodations were bad. Noisy, cold and uncomfortable. I was told that i should have received a text explaining the situation. Never got a text or a phone call, you know the old fashion way of communicating.

Was a huge spider in the first room so we moved rooms. Room was the same. Old dark rooms although was clean. No water anywhere. None offered at reception or available anywhere except the gym. Odd for Arizona. Bar was empty when we checked in and the drinks were premade (Margarita) and sickly sweet. On the positive side, plenty of car parking and walking to a McDonalds next door for coffee. Good location for entry to Grand Canyon.

Perfect place to stay while visiting grand canyon. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, breakfast was good, had a nice bar too. Didn't have time to visit the pool, hot tub, or gym, so can't comment on those.

The staff was courteous; the bed was comfortable. The lobby coffee was a bit weak but as soon as we mentioned it, they remedied it immediately! The gift shop had so many beautiful items to look at and plenty of things to purchase. The location was perfect for what we needed to tour around the area. Something for future travelers to know is that the area is under strict water conservation, so laundry facilities are few and far between (I think you have to use the campground) so we planned to do laundry in a different town.
